Perfect! Calling this baby, Ruby! I am no lightweight 5 ft 2", 265 lbs. After trying three other scooters two of which were supposed to be easily transportable I finally have one that is. I love this very sturdy but light weight scooter. So far I have given it test drives on grass, cement and big rocky gravel. Will not do the big rocky gravel or grass unless you get a running start and don't stop! I took it on a bayou nature walk in Monroe LA, it did great on the slat wood walkway, packed dirt, and hard pack gravel. Most scooters stop when you release the throttle, this one does not, you must use the bicycle style hand brake. Unlike other scooters, it does not have the turtle and hare fast or slow settings, it is totally up to the driver to control the speed. Easy to remove lithium battery can be charged on board or off. Love the pull out rack on the back for a suitcase, doggie carrier, groceries, etc. As much as I love this scooter if you are tall; have long legs, I do not think you would be comfortable at all. I raised the handle bar up pretty much all the way. Mine has the small seat but you can get it with two seats larger than this. The battery holds a charge well. I used it in the demo video, then it sat on the back of my scooter nearly a month before I took it to the bayou. It still had a full charge and after two challenging nature trails it only went down one of the green lights, still had tons of juice if I wanted to keep going. Update 9/18/2019 Having owned Ruby for several years here's the good and bad of it. She is sturdy, light weight, fast, but don't believe the ads, she struggles and fails on any surface not hard. I got her to take in my RV because I wanted to be able to do trails, but pretty much she can only do cement paths or hard pack dirt with very little debris. She developed a real annoying high pitch squeak, think it's around the axle, but the old girl still runs fast. Her tires are worn so that might contribute to her lack of pulling power up hills. She now needs a new battery, about 500.00. That's my debate, 500 for an old girl, or find something else. I only use the scooter about 15 days a year because it doesn't do trails and I am able to walk short distances using a cane. I think 2,000 was too much for the use I got out of her, but she did get me from the parking lot to Old Faithful and back; a distance I could not have walked.

I have multiple sclerosis and sometimes have limited mobility. I purchased this scooter because after watching the video, I thought it would do everything I needed. It was light weight (50 lbs), could carry things around with basket on front and luggage rack on back. It will not work on any surfaces that are not solid. The video shows it stopping and going on grass so I took it outside and tried to ride it around my yard. I was stuck immediately! It has a great turning radius and love the extra speed and long battery life but do not try putting it in reverse on the carpet, it barely moves. I decided to keep it for around the house and to visit the zoo and boardwalk, which are all hard surfaces. I am unhappy with my purchase but if I return it to enhance mobility, there is a 20% restocking fee and you have to return it within 7 days. They don't tell you this when you purchase the scooter. Make sure this is what you need before spending the $2,000. Oh and the so called travel cover that is "free"??, is nothing more than a storage cover as the wheels will not move when it is on.

A great deal of ingenuity and careful craftsmanship went into this wonderful scooter. With failing legs this 88 year old 210 lb man went looking for a scooter. It had to be easily foldable into a small package, and light enough to get it into the back of my small hatchback car. It comes close to meeting all of those requirements. Due to some clever mechanisms it unfolds easily. I chose to get the wider 18” seat and I think that is a good choice for many people. It allows me to sit on it for long periods in fair comfort. It now comes with a two speed switch for speed control, and in high speed it is really fun to ride. One must be in fair shape to use this because it is easy to imagine getting hurt in the high speed setting. It is a tricycle, although a fairly stable one. It comes with a useful front handlebar bag. Some creative bending may needed to make it easier to mount. There are some negatives. Part of the reason for its small size and relatively light weight is its drive mechanism. The motor is entirely in the front wheel. The compact 48V lithium battery is connected to a lightweight electronics package. This drives the single motor and is controlled by a motorcycle like twist speed control on the handlebar. I found this convenient and intuitive. It also means there is little weight on the front wheel, and it cannot drive very well over surfaces such as loose gravel or any quite uneven surfaces. The construction techniques more resemble an expensive bicycle than a small golf cart like you would get at Costco. It uses disc brakes on both back wheels and they are adjusted like bicycle brakes. To lock the brakes it has a simple latch to hold the brake handle in the tight position. I found this a little hard to use. Overall though, I am delighted with it and I give it a 5 star rating.

I have had mine for about 3 months and for the most part It has been great. That doesn't mean it doesn't weaknesses: In reverse it goes very slow and can stop all of a sudden. If you go up an incline you will have to put it in the faster speed as the slowwr speed does not have the power to get you up hill. You will need to tighten the breaks after a couple of months. However, the speed is great and it fits well in elevators (though if you have to back out prepare for the doors starting to close on your way out.. I have not tried it in grass, but I haven't had the need. It works best on hard services and carpet. I am looking to buy a fire-proof battery bag so that I can take it on a plane.
