Very much helps to soothe any razor burn, and heal up any little knicks. Stings a bit at first, but worth it.

I have been using a safety razor for a while now but only just got round to getting an Alum stone. Stops bleeding from nicks in seconds. And just leaves your skin feeling great after a shave. My wife is currently on blood thinners and is prone to small cuts and has greatly stopped with her bleeding.
