Great Star Trek memorabilia
I’m a lifelong fan of Chess and Star Trek. I’ve already got the original product released by the Franklin Mint and this new product is just as good from the Noble Collection. The pieces are plastic but have a good weight and a nice feel. The rules are included so you can play with opponents if you have a mind to learn the game. It’s different to normal chess but not wildly different. Looks nice in a study or on a small side table.

The boards are not aligned correctly
If you actually enjoy playing the game, the noble collection board is frustrating and hard to use. It's hard to show in a single photo but none of the squares overlap as they should, or even by the same amount.Whoever designed it clearly had no interest in the product other than making something shiny for collectors. The rule book, as expected, was scant, unplayable and I had to find them on the World Tri Dimensional Chess Federation site to play: http://w3dcf.com/information/lawsAlso, for the price paid, I should have expected slightly better quality attack boards. It is a shame, as the stand is nicely finished and will clearly not be prone to wobbling like the franklin mint version. Also, the die cast pieces are nicely produced and weighty too.The thing is still to shoddily made for the price though.
