I am a secondary school teacher and I use these lolly sticks to organise my classes. At the beginning of the school year, I give each student a lolly stick to decorate with their name and form and any other pretty bits!In each class, I will pick a child to read from the information sheet given to them, or even to ask them a question. It means that I don't ask the same child each and every lesson to read or answer questions. I also use them to set working groups. If you do want to differentiate them, you could use a different coloured highlighter pen to have the question targeted to their individual needs. So a pink end, for example, for lower attainers and so on.In fact, the kids love the lolly sticks and if I ever forget to get them out, they certainly remind me! They find them to be a fair way to choose class members. Sure, you can use online fruit machines and learn how to use the software to enter each class individually, but these lolly sticks are personal to the kids, because they have decorated them themselves.Now in this box, there are 1000 lolly sticks, and I certainly don't have 1000 children each year in my classes. In fact this coming September, I will have about 200. So, that means I either hold onto this one box for personalised lolly sticks or use them for other things as well!. Teaching both geography and history, I have had opportunities to use these in different ways. For example, in history, we had a castle making project for year 7's and lolly sticks were the perfect medium for kids to make great professional looking castles!There are loads of great uses for these lolly sticks! It just takes a bit of imagination! And for around £6, they are great value too!Please let me know if my review has been helpful. Just received them and I'm very pleased. The quality looks good, nice and smooth apart from slight roughness on the sides but that is usual, straight and uniform in size and shape. Well packaged (no plastic) so excellent value for money.I've not had chance to use in my project yet but I'm confident that they will be perfect for what I have planned, I probably only need a fraction of them for it but the others will come in useful for other things.

These arrived quickly and neatly packaged in bundles; I haven't counted them, why would I? There's enough there, from a visual view, to sink a battleship. lol. I have used some and they are good. There may be one or two, altho I haven't come across any yet, which may be flawed; but if that happens, one can still put them to good use with projects that don't require perfection, or that are gonna be painted anyway. They're also quite thick, can be a bit difficult to cut with a blade or craft knife, but the good side of that is that you know they are not flimsy.Good buy, would recommend!

What every DIY er should have,I didn't know I should have these in my workshop until I saw a video.Since then they've been used by hers out doors in the garden, and for v many small jobs around the house filling , spreading etc etcAlso bought cocktail sticks for same purpose.

These lollipop sticks are exactly what you'd expect. They all came smooth with no splinters which was a huge positive but as they are designed for arts and crafts it wouldn't have been too big of an issue if there were some that were splintered. Overall a great product.
