Aqua FloPond & Aquarium Filter Media, 12" x 120" (10 Feet) Long x 1" Thick (Green/White)

We are using as a filter in our natural spring. It seems to trap most debris and dirt. I've washed out twice and it is still holding up and has not broken down any. I would order again.

I can't rate if they are easy to clean because I haven't gotten to that point yet. I probably wont clean them. I will just buy new ones. I have made my own bio filter for my 500 gallon self-made koi pond. I was worried that the quantity wouldn't be enough, and I was right. My bio filter is a 50 gallon water barrel. I bought a second one and whoa! What a difference! I am thrilled!

I have a small pond and the filter catches and holds both algae and debris. Filter needs cleaning when they get dirty. I wash them with a garden hose. After about 3 or 4 cleanings the filter gets worn out and needs replacement.

I use my own media since I have planted tanks I dont want the carbon in the manufactures filters. I combine this with a course sponge first, then this (cut to fit), then a polishing cloth in my HOB filters. I can rinse it in dirty water bucket a few times before I replace it with new. Great savings and a very good product!

Not even half inch, and even let it sit out for a couple of hour to see if it was just smashed during shipping. Very thin and will have to throw after 1 use in the filter. At this thin, I had to double up. Need to change the description to say 1/4 inch thick (which is what I received)- maybe on a good day 1/2 inch thick. Would NOT purchase again.
