Swann's Way (Remembrance of Things Past)

The text in this book is so small only eagles could read it. And how many eagles read Proust? Honestly, this text constitutes fraud on the buyer, since nobody, nobody could choose to read a typeface so small, even if they could read it. Further, the margins of each page are so small that even if somebody could read the microscopic print, it would be hard to read a page since the margins are ultra skimpy. Overall a complete ripoff. Amazon should not offer this book for sale. Whoever prints and sells this book should be ashamed.

I ordered this copy of Proust's masterpiece to reread before bed at night. What came was suspiciously thin for Proust and I was mad because I thought it had been abridged. But when I opened the book I saw that it was not abridged, but that the type was so small and filled the pages without margins, that it resembled micro readouts of some incomprehensible foreign data. I'm not kidding, the type is so small and the pages so crammed that it was impossible to read. I kind of admire whoever put this together because the formatting alone would have been a nightmare. That's what I get for ordering cheap Proust.

The novel itself is amazing of course, my 3 stars are for the format the paperback comes in. Tiny text and very small margins. They formatted it to make it as thin as possible I think, but it makes for a tedious read. Again, the content itself is brilliant of course but the text/formatting of the text is tedious. Choose a larger formatted version

The one-star review is for this particular publisher's edition, NOT the book itself. Been meaning to read this classic for awhile - DO NOT buy the copy that is pictured above - they crammed the book into 200 pages by reducing the font size to "tiny," with very tight line spacing, making it virtually impossible to read.

If you like struggling with 8 pt font size, and next to zero margins, this is the book for you. This edition of Swann's Way is virtually unreadable. Sending it back for a refund.

Horribly small font. My strongest reading glasses didn't help. I thought about donating it to a bookstore, but I wouldn't want to do that to anyone. There are other options - with actually readable fonts. Go there.

Print is ridiculously smalland impossible to readfor more than afew minutes--spacingof lines is horrible!!stay away.

The print is so small, I didn't even bother to try to read, and returned it.
