WAVERLY Valances for Windows - Clifton Hall 52" x 18" Short Curtain Valance Small Window Curtains Bathroom, Living Room and Kitchens, Flax

I am in love with the "Clifton Hall" curtain in the color, FLAX.I bought this valence for a bathroom window in my home.As seen in the pictures, the bathroom has a tile and pattern that was typicalfor bathrooms built in the 60's. I decided to preserve the original tile ratherthan replace it because it just so happens to be the same tile and gray color as thetile my grandmother had in her bathroom and it brings back fond memories frommy childhood. My goal with this curtain was to modernize and sophisticate this bathroom."Clifton Hall" did not disappoint. It's quality and sophistication is what I have come toexpect in a Waverly brand curtain. Although I have not hung the valence on the curtain rod(which will be black) yet, it is evident this valence perfectly complements the bathroom's colors.Speaking of color, this version of "Clifton Hall" is a gray with a heavy blue undertone and a paleyellowish color (flax) in the print.For reference, Olympus White (SW6253) LRV = 68 by Sherwin Williams is the paint color on the wall and the trim/cabinets, ceiling, and wood blinds are painted Extra White (SW 7006) by Sherwin Williams.Don't let the fact that "Clifton Hall" is not a lined valence discourage you from purchasing this charmer.The curtain is actually two different print materials with the one material layered on top of the second.This produces the same light blocking effect as a lined curtain. Even if the materials were not layered,the material in and of itself has a high thread count, the threads are thick and dyed thoroughly, and lightdoes not pass through these. Please don't mistake my description for a room darkening curtain, my description'sintent is simply to let the reader know this valence isn't flimsy and nearly see through as some lower quality screen printed curtains are.In brief, highly recommend these valences.

I love these valances. Have a faded casual look. go nicely in my kitchen and I bought an additional panel to cover my chair cushions and gave it a nice finished, designer look.

These are curious. Not the quality I expect from Waverly, but they are still well made by today's standards. There is no lining (a big disappointment) and the length is a tad long, but that's my opinion only. The print and colors are lovely, and compliment my windows well. For the price I paid, I have no regrets; but they are not what I was expecting....

I just received these absolutely gorgeous valances in FLAX. I am so happy! They are the perfect shade of gray and are exactly as pictured. The fabric is a perfect weight cotton. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

They were very pretty. I was not expecting them to be as nice. My family room is dark though, and I thought I needed brighter valances so reluctantly I returned them. I then got white valances and thought that the previous ones (these) had a warmer look and would have been just fine. (I was too indecisive). They have a classic look and would go well with a lot of styles. Overall nice valance especially for the relatively inexpensive price.
