Bought online elsewhere. It is meant for fruit preserve. As I see today the price is +7000 Rupees. I paid less than Rs 500. It IS airtight and fermenting things shouldn't be kept in it as carbon dioxide buildup can cause it to explode. I stored wine in its secondary fermentation in it and the lid would pop up once you release the metal clip. So, if you can't release the carbon dioxide everyday, don't think of storing wine in it. Still to try for storing fruit preserve.

Good quality, hand washed before use but the bottom glass piece can go in the dishwasher. The metal is a bit thin/loose and easy to snap your fingers on so be careful. Would buy from in-store because these are double the price. Great choice if you can't find what you're looking for in-person.

These jars look like a great quality jar (haven’t actually use yet) I ordered 2 sets of 2 and they came in a large box with only a single layer of bubble wrap around each jar and way to much empty space in the large box, they showed up with one broken, I wasn’t surprised seeing how it was packed

I’ve been purchasing glass storage jars and removing any plastic containers from my kitchen. Who wants harmful endocrine disrupters in their system? They vastly increase the odds of getting breast cancer etc. I also don’t want to contribute to creating additional plastic trash, which is polluting and harming the planet, humans and other sentient beings.I love these jars for storing my homemade, organic, Pico de Gallo or Hibiscus Tea!The positives: They’re a great size for batch cooking, ultra sturdy, airtight, plus BPA and lead-free. I’d accidentally dropped one in my sink and it stayed in one piece. The negatives: The jars aren’t great when pouring liquids. I have to pour over the sink and generally lose a bit of my homemade, organic goodness.I’ve purchased them a number of times in various sizes, and will continue to do so until finding a better option. They aren’t gorgeous to look at, however, they serve an important function.
