This was just what I was looking for. I use it with my Nikon D5300 kit lens and it works brilliantly. I like to shoot waterfalls and landscapes so this was a perfect piece of kit for me so that I don't have to carry lot of varying ND filters as this does the job of about 6 all rolled into one. I did find the plastic casing it arrived in to be too large and fiddly to open up but this filter will pretty much be permanently attached to my kit lens now. It works, however I get a brownish tint and some slipping when used on my mk iii, the cast can be removed with LR but I do have to compose the shot knowing I am going to have to crop.At the top end of the ND large black shadows appear on the shot so have to stay a few grads away for this. But it's probably OK for initial foray. I include one with and an idea of what can be done with this. But will probably upgrade in the mid term

Despite the attractive price, the filter greatly reduces the image quality to the extent my camera lens could not focus (See photo). That was with the same exposure time and the lowest ND settings. Its a shame, not sure if my copy was defective or a design flaw in general. Returned.

Useful filter to have in to enable the user to achieve their perfect shot! I read the reviews & yes it does take away some of the sharpness & yes it does affect the colour slightly (high ND end), but it also reduces the intensity & brightness to more acceptable levels.

It is decent for the price you pay to get this. If you are truly into long exposures as a proffessional, go for more expensive NDs from maybe hafo? Do not go for variable NDs, they do introduce some amount of vignetting. I do landscapes and long exposures for fun and as a hobby and only do portraits as a profession. So this works just fine for me!
