⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty has been a huge hit! It’s fun to stretch, bounce, and mold, and the colors and effects are really cool. It’s perfect for keeping hands busy, relieving stress, or just being creative. The putty holds up well, doesn’t dry out quickly, and can be used over and over again. My kids love experimenting with all the ways it can stretch, snap, and bounce. A simple, creative, and endlessly entertaining toy — highly recommend! 🟠✨

Firmer squish to squeeze
This is a little firmer than my orange PT putty. Much prettier, and satisfying, but my hands aren’t strong enough yet to use for long. If you like a firm squish this is a good amount of putty too.

Product is great, the packaging less so.
I’ve never bought thinking putty before, but the doc prescribed something like this to a family member, wanting them to use it for strength and dexterity in their hands. I have sensory issues and whenever they weren’t using it, I would borrow it to squish to my heart’s content. When I saw this, I had to get it for myself. I’ve only just received it, so I can’t comment on whether or how quickly the colour fades. Out of the box, the colour is really beautiful. The consistency is perfect: based on other reviews, I was expecting it to be slimier than it is, and I’m glad that’s not the case. It’s getting the thing out of its tin that’s a challenge. Mine had leaked around the edge and dried, creating a sort of seal that made opening the tin even more difficult. Luckily, I had just ordered a spudger, and that made things a lot easier (see photo). But based on this experience, I’m being careful to keep the tin flat, which means I can’t just chuck it in my backpack. This is not okay. I will need to find a better storage solution, which is disappointing given the price tag. So why five stars? Because the squishy is super squishy and wonderful, and I couldn’t bring myself to subtract stars for the subpar tin.

Pretty and fun to play with.
Super fun! Love the color. 4 stars because the tin is massive for the little blob you get, but it’s definitely enough for fiddling around and keeping your mind occupied. No smell and didn’t leave residue on my hands. Made my hands a little dry after a while but not bad.

Its a mess at first BUT..
This is my 5th Aarons thinking putty. I love them. When my mom first gifted it to me, I thought it was a bit dense to use (or my hands are just really weak lol) but after using it for a while I realized the body heat from our hands makes it softer and eventually it became more flexible and fun to use! Im used to Aarons packaging being a mess, and im also used to the lids being hard AF to open, BUT the end result is great. All I do is take a piece of the putty, and use it to collect the mess around the lid. Works like a charm ! I put pictures of before and after cleaning the mess. To add to this, Im not a big slime person because trying to activate and all that other stuff with regular slime is too much for me. So Aarons is my go to whenever Im stressed out thinking during work (work from home). As a grown adult, I love Aarons thinking putty! Its a nice way to mitigate any type of stress but also just fun to play with ! P.S. I recommend a belt storage/organizer to hold all of the aarons putty in. That way the putty will stay in place and its all there when you want it !

Can won’t open? Try hot water!
I tried twisting the can lid to open and it wouldn’t budge so I placed the whole can in a bowl with a small amount of hot water - not enough to submerge it, just about 1/2 an inch of very hot water - and the lid came right off. Since then I’ve been able to open it by twisting. No leaking and the consistency is perfect for me. Not too hard or too soft. I am in love. The color is amazing and I’ve been working with it for a few days. No fading, no sticking, no mess, no scent. My therapist (who also has ADHD) has had her 2 cans of Thinking Putty for at least 10 years and they haven’t lost any of their squish or color. That’s what I call a great value for the money.

Pretty and stretchy!
As a kid, I got in trouble in school for putting glue all over my hands so I could pull it off when it dried. I was a good student, but that kind of fidgeting wasn't allowed. A few years later, I developed trichotillomania (hair pulling). I ended up spending the rest of my childhood and teenage years with no eyebrows or eyelashes. I still pull chin hair and pick at my skin. If I had been allowed more harmless fidgets as a child, maybe that would never have happened. Now as an adult in middle age, I am learning to allow myself things like this putty to keep my hands busy. I was a little apprehensive reading other reviews about it coming in super hard or dried out, but that was not the case for me. It was a little hard, but it is quite cold out right now and it was delivered a couple hours before I could bring it in. Once it warmed up, it became very pliable. It is soft, but not too soft. It has a very nice pull, though it does tear sometimes. It's a good size. The can is bigger than my (admittedly small) hand, and there is ample putty. I am thinking of trying to get a smaller one, actually, because this one is a little too big to easily carry around. There is a bit of a strange scent, but it isn't bad and only noticeable if I sniff the putty on purpose. I don't smell anything if I use it as normal, and it doesn't leave a smell on my hands. It is very pretty and sparkly. I couldn't be happier with the appearance. The tin is slightly difficult to open, though it seems to be getting easier with time. A little annoying, but probably means it won't dry out. I'm really happy with it so far!

Nice Product, Horrible Packaging
I've seen this product around, but I never got it because of how expensive it was. Finally decided to try it, I really like the texture and the color is so pretty! However, the trouble I had to go through to get into this thing was insane. The puddy got all around the sides and made the top practically glued on. I had to take a sharp object and go all around the sides to remove the puddy enough to open it. I actually thought I wasn't gonna be able to open it at all. Also, the tin got bent from trying to open it, so now it's hard to close. I'm begging the company to make a better tin or a better seal to keep the puddy from doing this. I saw other comments about this, so I knew it might happen, but its still sucks. Overall is exactly my type of fidget and I really like it, but be warned, you might have to use the jaws of life to open it.

Good play
My autistic kids love playing with putty and this one did not disappoint. I only wish it would be easier to open the jar as it takes a while with an anxious child around.

Stains clothing.
Fun and there’s a lot in the container but it permanently stains clothing if it touches.

Mixed Feelings
Very cute putty. Nice stretch and texture. I like that it doesn’t really have a smell either. I give 3 stars for the following reasons: 1) there is very little putty inside the container, despite the container’s size 2) the little elephant pieces can BREAK as you play with the putty (quite a few broke while fidgeting with it) 3) the tin was hard to open and it looks like some of the putty leaked out the sides 4) very pricey for what you get, but a great novelty item! Kids will probably love it.
