Very Effective product.
I like this product it works very well. My home was rid of fruit flys within a very short time. My teenagers had fun zapping Flys with them as well. Very innovative product unlike the sticky traps that you hang from ceiling. Would definitely purchase again.

Zaps the bugs!
This was one of the worst years for flies for us. We were getting overrun by them and couldn't figure out where they were hatching until our son took his ferret cage outside to clean it and found maggots in the litter. He usually cleans it once a week as he only has 1 ferret but after that discovery it became a daily task for him. In the meantime we purchased the rechargeable zapper swatters. We have a batteried one but it was heavy on the hand and went through batteries fault quickly. Plus you have to push a button for it to zap. With the rechargeable ones there is the option to turn them in and leave them on or push a button to cap if desired. We used the continually on option and kept them mostly in the kitchen as that is where the flies tended to pirate us most. Instead of setting them in the stand provided we laid them flat on the counter and the flies would land on them. These were a true lifesaver for us! Once my son discovered his ferret cage issue we placed one in its charging base by the ferret cage. We were so pleased with these we bought another set so my husband who is a truck driver could keep one in his truck for mosquitoes. They are super for zapping fruit flies/gnats too.We are super super happy with this product.

Better than the Zap It brand, with one big flaw
I think this is an improvement on the Zap It brand design. One big improvement is the battery. I tried to do a quick search and I couldn't find the battery capacity for the Zap It and it makes me wonder if they're lithium ion batteries at all.Now lets look at the VANELC Bug Zapper. I don't know which has better output since they both kill insects equally well it seems, but the VENLC has much improved battery life. They give you some (likely) cheap 1,200mah batteries. I tested them by charging them in a charger that tells me the voltage, the milliamps (ma/h) being charged in total, and so on. My pair charged to 989mah and 1,000mah. That's pretty good for cheaper batteries. Now if you want to increase your use time, easy: just get another 18650 (depending you may already have a few of these). You could get even OEM Samsung li-ion batteries with one of their huge 3,500mah batteries for the best of all worlds. Now for the bad: There is nothing preventing these batteries from discharging down to 0 volts. A better designed and more expensive one would prevent this, much like your cell phone battery does. Discharging your li-ion batteries below 2v is harmful to it, so you'll have to remember not to leave it on all night unless you don't mind damaging your batteries (which will eventually lose their ability to hold a charge).Another more minor bad thing is whatever kind of light they use to attract mosquitoes uses way way less power, so the light is a bad indicator of whether or not your racket is working. Your battery could be incapable of producing enough voltage for the light, but not for the racket itself.

Daughter approved!
Our eldest has a room in the basement, so that means spiders. We also had some small moths flying around. At first it scared her, but now she's a bug killer. So far so good after.

Love the ZAPOP!
These work great. Put them in their base, plug in the USB cable and they just work. They also work well for chasing down pesky bugs as needed. They will kill a wasp.
