Effects, side-effects and popular misconceptions
The Awakening of Kundalini, not exactly a how-to-book, describes the effects, possible side-effects, misconceptions and spontaneous experiences of people from all walks of life and from different cultures, different backgrounds, many of whom have never consciously worked on awakening kundalini. The author briefly touches upon the practices from other traditions, such as the cultivation of sexual energy as practiced in Taoist tradition (for more on this, you may check one Mantak Chia's books). He points out that the goal of yoga, and the goal of awakening of kundalini is union with the divine, as well as that all of the alchemical practices are focused on changing the flow of energy from having it flow downward and outward, to having it flow inward and upward."In a healthy and harmonized system, on the arousal of Kundalini, a constant stream of sublimated reproductive energy, in radiating waves, rises int the brain, causing an inexpressible state of rapture and a breathtaking, marvelous transformation of consciousness. The pressure on the organs of generation is instantly released and the sexual appetite diminished or completely lost."A good deal of this books deals with all sorts of things that may go wrong in people who are not properly prepared (all esoteric systems begin by preparing the idividual through an assortment of practices related ot physical, mental, emotional and spiritual purification) or who approach the practice with primary focus on material or sexual gratification instead of spiritual."Whatever the approach to the supernatural, the occult, and the divine, the ultimate target will remain the same, for the soul will never rest content until it has the beatific vision of itself. Those who take to yoga or any other occult or spiritual discipline, even if they gain a certain amount of calm and deeper insight then before, will still continue to try other methods and disciplines until the Supreme Light is experienced."

Consider the Caduceus.....
GOPI KRISHNA was MEDITATING upon his PINGALA NADI when he felt a searing hot flame envelope his being. He was in UTTER AGONY. He then meditated upon IDA AKA the moon channel...and all was well....OR WAS IT?!?!GOPI KRISHNA discusses the ESOTERIC PHYSIOLOGICAL CAPABILITIES existing within the human body...certain mysteries were concealed in various world religions however in this current time...the veil must be lifted...whether the current powers that be like it or not......HEHEHE.GOPI KRISHNA did have famously negative experiences with "yoga"...there are multiple systems that exists for working with KUNDALINI...in the YOGI BHAJAN method one first works on strengthening the SUBTLE BODY and the NERVOUS SYSTEM.....the YOGI BHAJAN METHOD also works on opening ANAHATA CHAKRA before the other chakras...whereas SIVANADAS method works on balancing AJNA CHAKRA, and then balancing MULADHARA....ETC.This book DOES NOT include meditations or explanations of the YOGIC ANATOMY....it is simply the opinions/musings of GOPI KRISHNA."It is a myth that yoga leads to calmness and serenity. It is well known in the east that yoga can easily lead to insanity." -GOPI KRISHNA.

Not what I wanted
Not even a good philosophical approach to this subject and certainly no pragmatic advice.

Rien de plus …
Trop léger. Rien de nouveau. Pas de conseils. Une activation de la force Kundalini entraîne un état très particulier et demande des réponses ou conseils plus éclairés.Ce livre ne m’a pas été utile

Kundalini rising
The most comprehensive guide to 'awakening' so far researched! There are those who 'talk the talk' and those who 'know'. Thanks indeed to one who 'knows '.

Important, but a little dull
Very important book, but the talk of scientists is off-putting. The call for a one world order is always a concern with these books. I would like to have seen more instruction on the kundalini experience too. Fortunately, that information can be found elsewhere. Still a great man, though, Gopi Krishna!
