Is this toy really good for travel?

Yes! No loose pieces. No batteries. No noise. Just a compact wooden board, a tethered magnetic wand, and a town maze that somehow keeps little hands busy longer than you'd expect.

How is this different from other busy boards?

This magnetic mazes has rotating parts and movable elements woven into the design so every run through the maze is a little different. There's more to figure out and more reasons to keep coming back to it.

What age is this really best for?

The sweet spot is 3-4, but curious 2-year-olds and determined 5-year-olds love it too. This is one of those toys that grows with your child rather than getting outgrown.

What developmental stage does this toy help support?

When children start picking up small objects with purpose, focusing on self-directed tasks, and wanting to do things by themselves. This maze grows with them as their skills get sharper.

Are the balls inside the maze magnetic?

NO. There are no magnets in these balls. They are made of a plastic shell around a metal ball. The magnetic pen magnetizes the metal and guides them through the maze.
