Great powder makeup

Color not as picture seems. Too light

I have gotten so many compliments on my makeup after switching to this powder! Amazing what a small change can do to your whole look. A couple notes:-The powder is very, very fine but somehow doesn't settle into pores.-Pretty matte finish. My skin is on the oily side so this is a must. I use highlighter for the parts I want to glow and let this powder take care of my trouble spots.-Long lasting - at least for a drugstore powder. I work about 9-10 hours a day in an office setting and this one holds up reasonably well. More meticulous people would probably want a touchup.Two cons:-The color for 120 Classic Ivory is slightly darker in the powder than it is for the 120 Classic Ivory in their super stay full coverage line. It's not super noticeable and looks fine on my skin, but it's a little odd to me that they aren't a perfect match.-The design of this compact kinda annoys me. You have to flip up the portion that contains the powder to get to a mirror, then flip it back down to get more powder. Too much flipping for me. I'd rather just have the mirror on the top portion like a classic compact.

You should pack these products better. It's supposed to be a solid, but I usually get it in this powdered form. It's very wasteful, & difficult to apply as sheer as it's supposed to be. Very disappointing.

I use this powder along with Maybelline's Dream Velvet foundation. When the two are used together I have not had any problem with color change. The color that I use matches my skin and although it doesn't last perfectly through the day due to my oily skin, it does last pretty well and I keep coming back to it due to the price point. What I do notice, is that if I use this powder with a different foundation, I get different results and will wind up with the orange hue that some other reviewers mentioned. When used together my makeup looks flawless and doesn't take me long to apply. I noticed also that some other reviewers have mentioned it arriving broken or not having an applicator. If this is how yours arrives, it is NOT in the condition it is supposed to be in and I would request it be replaced. This is a pressed powder and comes with a sponge applicator that is located under the powder. Lift up the pan and there is the sponge. All in all, for the price point and ease of use, I would still recommend it.
