Smaller than the ones on the show, but definitely worth buying !

Fairly good sound effects for button one. Button two plays for too long with no way to interrupt it. It's light and plastic. The cover is very clunky to get open. It pretty much takes two hands to fiddle with it which diminishes the fun. All in all it's the best I could find on short notice and the price is good for what it is.

I'm and artist and a collector and a Star Trek fan, and this fits the bill for all three. The box is cool and collectable, with a small booklet of Star Trek scenes, and the toy itself (let's not kid ourselves, it's a toy) is pretty nice; not full-sized but it still fills your hand pretty well, and it also makes the classic Trek-communicator noise and the ambient background computer noise, but beware, that one goes on for a while. One last thing: it's loud 😅

Great addition to my collectables. It is big enough that, even though it is 2/3 size, it feels like one used in the show.

If you're looking for a quality, low cost, and slightly smaller than normal replica of Star Trek's communicator, then definitely consider this one. It's a bit smaller than the on-screen original props used on Star Trek, but if that doesn't bother you, then this will be a perfect addition to any Trekkie's collection. The communicator looks and feels almost exactly like it does in the original series, and comes complete with lights and sounds. The button on the left, makes the iconic chirping sound while the button on the right plays a few seconds of sci-fi sounds. Both makes the lights on the communicator flash while the sounds are playing. The yellow mesh-like "guard" on the communicator doesn't flip up and down quite as easily as it does on the show though. You need to use your fingers on the round edges where the guard meets the communicator to flip it open. Then you can close it shut normally, but this is, so far, the only drawback I've seen with this prop. Also included is a little booklet exploring the history of the communicator prop which is worth the read. So if you're looking for a quality (albeit smaller sized) replica of Star Trek's iconic communicator, then definitely give this prop your consideration.

This communicator is such a joy for this Star Trek fan who grew up with the original series. It is inexpensive, plastic and nothing fancy. It's awesome for the price ($16.50). The 2 sound effects are great and the nostalgia value for a ST fan is enormous. The size seems just right. I've ordered a 2nd one to gift to a good friend. I highly recommend this.

Ce petit communicateur est très compact et sera parfait pour compléter une collection Star Trek. Vous pouvez également l'emmener dans les différentes conventions pour profiter d'un objet moins encombrant lors de vos présentations cosplay. L'appareil effectue tous les sons que vous pouvez retrouver dans la série. L'ensemble est doté d'une bonne batterie qui a réussi à tenir cinq ans sans problème. Aujourd'hui, il fonctionne encore et complète parfaitement ma collection.
