D&D 5E: Ptolus: Monte Cook’s City by The Spire

Great city setting by Monte Cook. I never purchased any of his work before but, after just reading a few pages of this huge text, wow! What a collection! This is a great book for a city campaign. I am looking forward to including this in a future campaign.

Probably the finest city supplement I’ve come across in 20+ years in the hobby. Absolutely bursting with creative ideas and a gamble content - all presented in a player-facing manner. Easy to incorporate individual elements, factions, and locations at the table. The kind of supplement that makes you want to run it, immediately. We’ll be moving things over to Ptolus as soon as my current 5e campaign finishes.

I bought this thinking I'd use it to help flesh out cities for my games. Now I'm running 3 fresh games inside the city because I found it so endlessly fascinating. I can't tell you how many fun nooks and crannies you'll find, because even I haven't found them all yet. Every session is full of my players saying "OOH WHAT'S THAT" and we fly away down a deep rabbit hole. It's endlessly entertaining and I can see my next 3 years of sessions off of this one purchase.
