Fun and Inspirational
I enjoyed this film more than I thought I would. I like a lot of cycling films and have definitely been subjected to some horrible crap vintage hipster garbage. A lot of these films try to be artsy and think that the way they ride is so unique and better than what you ride. They also tend to cast or capture only the tattoo'd cigarette smoking, pabst drinking jack wagons who think they are going to go head to head with a car and win. I am not going to lie, thats what I thought I was going to watch. This film does have those people too, but it shows much, much more of the fixed/single speed scene. Instead I was able to see what most people don't see or know about the single speed bike! The fun, the racing, and the friendship of these guys. Not everybody rode the same or had the same bike, some guys only road on the track pushing themselves to accomplish the speed that many think is only achievable on a bike multiple gears. I also saw that unlike a lot of other cycling, it was not about how much money you have and how light your bike is, it is about riding and riding only. After watching this film I was pumped! It gets your heart racing! You want to go out there and see what you can do on the single speed! See what style of fixed riding you enjoy! Don't get me wrong fixed gear is certainly trendy in many cities, just because its trendy doesn't mean it cant be thrilling and fun. This film was not done with a big budget but was done with a lot of passion for the bikes and went out to find the riders most passionate about this to tell you why they ride. The film wants you too ride not sit and study a culture.

I Love Everything Fixie!
This is a fun movie! I need to watch it again 'cause I viewed it on my laptop, but thoroughly enjoyed. I'm something of a geezer but I love everything fixie. I know there was a complaint about the sound on this video but it didn't bother me. I'll watch it again and again as I set up my rollers to do some indoor training. Highly recommend. Wish I had known about it sooner.

I absolutely love the movie and the bike
This documentary moved me to purchase my own fixed gear. I absolutely love the movie and the bike. They are right in how smooth and quiet riding a fixed gear is.

More than your average cycling feature; this film is for everybody
I think it's important to mention that I don't even know how to ride a bike, let alone a fixed-gear, but with Fixation, that really doesn't matter. The movie isn't just made for cyclists, though it is most definitely for them, too, it's made for everyone who has a desire to learn about a new sport, culture or lifestyle. Fixation is for everybody. For those who are expecting a low-budget mash-up of bike tricks that's similar to something you'd see in your local bike shop, that is not what you will find here. Fixation is a cinematic film that simply focuses on fixed-gear riding. There are plenty of tricks to keep you visually entertained, but the real feast for the eyes is the brilliant cinematography created by amazing shots and filmmakers who clearly know what they are doing. When you watch Fixation, it's not just about the sport, it's also about the people and the passion that goes into it, and these subtle, but necessary, differences are what set Fixation apart from other films about riding. The creators' passion for the subject is evident and not only transcends through your television, but actually captures you in a magical way that only well-made films can.The film's director once described Fixation as a well-made film made by people who make movies, not a film by cyclists about cycling, and that is the perfect way to describe it. That's what sets Fixation apart.I dare anyone to watch this movie and not feel something.
