ACURITE13003 7-Inch Digital Alarm Clock

This clock makes me angry, and that's because this product had such great potential. The display is bright and large, but I don't find that it's too bright during the night, and it's not distracting. The issue is with the "alarm-off" switch - there's a snooze button, however there is no real alarm off button to stop the alarm while it is alarming. Instead, you must push the incredibly stiff and jerky sliding switch that is inconveniently located on the back of the unit to switch from alarm mode on to off, meaning this also disables the alarm altogether and if left in this state it won't go off the next day when you need to wake up, unless you are sure to switch it back over to on. When you wake up in the morning all groggy eyed, fighting with a stiff switch is not an easy task, and so while you'll leave your bedroom wide awake after dealing with the clock, you'll likely start your day off in a bad mood - every day. All of that aside, the alarm sounds like a cross between a telephone ringtone and an electronic egg timer (or at least that's what it sounds like when it wakes me up - I'm sure that others may hear it differently). Upon arrival, it looked like the package had already been sold to someone and opened, as the base of the plastic packaging was cut and taped, and the protective adhesive clear plastic layer that covered the face of the clock looked like it had been removed and reapplied. In addition, there was a small scratch on the back of the unit. I'll keep it as a large display clock since I am a glasses-wearer and am otherwise blind without the help of my glasses, but I may need to invest in something different to wake me up with in the morning.

Me sorprende que cuando se va la luz, el equipo no pierde la hora exacta. Llegó en buen estado.Práctico para ver la hora de lejos, ya que sus números son bastante grandes. Si lo pones en tu cuarto, la luz roja no te lastima al dormir. Tal cual al de la foto que te muestra la publicación.

Well, I like the size of the numerals, the easy set-up, and the price. However, it is bright -- don't need a ceiling light in our bedroom. Wish there was some way of dimming it down a bit.

lo positivo es el tamaño del display, se aprecia desde cualquier lugar de la habitación, se mantiene prendido todo el tiempo, lo negativo es que no tiene regulador de luz ni opciones de sonido, si viajas por el mundo seguro te servira por las regiones, pero en mi caso hubiera preferido otra opcion.en general cumple su funcion.

Bought this as a gift for a residence that has power failures quite often. Well first one occurred and when power was restored the clock set the right time auto. Perfect unit for anyone who has difficulty re setting the time. And I am told the numbers are very readable from a distance.The receipiant has been very happy so far..
