Biddeford Blankets Velour Sherpa Electric Heated Blanket with Digital Controller, Throw, Black/Cream Plaid Reversible to Grey

GARBAGE!This is my second blanket same brand and model. The first one lasted two weeks then stopped working. I thought I’d try another one. This one lasted 3 seconds. The cord smelled like it had melted a little. I knew they don’t work very lo anyway. This seems like a defect at this point. I buy a new electric blanket every year. Usually this brand will at least last me through the cold months.Too much money to spend on something that doesn’t do its purpose.I won’t buy Biddeford again

Ordered the Sherpa/velvet heated throw for my boyfriend, as a birthday gift. Looked great, was soft to the touch and warmed up great. However after only 1 month of use, it stopped heating evenly. Only 2 spots on the entire blanket heated up. Luckily, it was the LAST day of my return window. I was able to order an "exchange" but since the "velvet sherpa, heated throw" was no longer an option, I had to select either a cheaper version that was much thinner and NOT what we needed, OR a more EXPENSIVE version that was "sort of" close to what I originally ordered. However, I'm now being forced to pay the difference between what I ordered (lightning deal, with an additional code, which made this a seemingly great deal) and the full price of a replacement that isn't what I ordered, nor what I really want. While I understand running out of stock on something, it's ludicrous to me, that I should be penalized with an additional charge for lack of sufficient inventory, on an item that should definitely last more than a month. NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER!

This blanket was very soft and warm. Although, the control burned out after a month and a half. Would not recommend this blanket. Now I have a blanket that doesn’t work.I wanted to edit this review. After my control quit working I called Biddeford directly and explained the situation. Customer Service was very understanding and sent me a brand new blanket. I would definitely recommend this blanket.

My favorite thing about this blanket is the softness, and the color/pattern is just as show. It does get very warm as well which is what I was aiming for. My only complaints would be that it is very small. I’m 5,10 so it doesn’t cover my whole body. I also don’t like how the chord/remote is set up. The remote has a very short chord from where it has to be plugged in to the blanket. I like to have where the chord goes into the blanket at the end of the bed towards my feet so it’s out of the way, but since the chord to the remote is short youre unable to hold it if you do that. The chord from the blanket to the outlet is pretty long which is a plus. I also like the 10 hour auto shut off, some blankets are only 2 hours long and I like to have it on at night while I sleep. Overall, I don’t hate it. it’s fair for the price and does the job. But if you’re looking for a more luxurious or just bigger blanket, this wouldn’t be for you.

I bought this throw blanket for my mom who is now on chemo. She loves it so much, says it is a lifesaver. Very soft. I've used it on highest heat setting for my back pain and found it to be nice and hot. One small issue is that she says sometimes it didn't heat until she switched wall plugs.

This blanket has one flaw. It says it has a 10' cord which it is. What it doesn't tell you, the cord the controller is attached to is incrediby short...4 feet. If you want to change the setting during the night, you have to physically get out of bed to do so. Having had other electric blankets,etc. this is a giant pain in the back side. It is very soft, heats up fast, looks good on my bed and my cat thinks I bought it for her.

So... I bought this for an unconventional use... We foster baby animals that don't have a mother present, and frequently they have difficulty maintaining their body temperature. I really like this blanket because it ACTUALLY gets warm enough... and it's not the same temperature throughout, so babies can waddle around until they find a spot that's good for them... (Yes, I watch to be sure they don't get too hot...) Of course, the one thing I wish was that it would stay on constantly- without needing to remember to hit the button every 10 hours, but that's probably a good safety for most people. I'm a big fan that it's easily washable and that it comes in many colors and sizes. I've now got several and we keep at least one or two on all the time for the "nursery" crowd. I think if I was using it for a bed I'd like it too... I really like that it gets pretty warm... I'm always cold too!
