My hair is smooth and shiny

I was quite excited to try the Root Therapy mask by Leaf + Seed - I’m currently in the process of growing out my hair, however I’ve reached a stage where it feels dehydrated and rather brittle.Before opting to try the treatment mask, I looked online and read other reviews - most of them seem to be positive, a lot of people raving about how ‘soft’ it’s left their hair etc.After shampooing my hair, I applied a generous amount of the mask whilst slightly damp - I worked it through the lengths of my hair and massaged it into the roots.It had a thick, creamy texture and smells like a natural ingredients based product, it has a heavy floral scent - the noticeable fragrance notes Ylang ylang, Oud and Magnolia.I left it in my hair for the 15 minutes and rinsed off with lukewarm water.Personally, I think it’s rather disappointing - my hair feels ‘slightly’ softer, however nothing too noticeable. I found that it actually left my hair feeling rather heavy, weighed down and super fragranced. The treatment clings to the hair shaft and leaves it feeling really coated - I really didn’t like the feeling, so I actually ended up shampooing my hair after. My hair felt somewhat slick after using it.I wouldn’t recommend this mask for anyone with thick hair like myself.As for value for money, I’ve used more affordable products which have given better results - I don’t feel it’s very good value for money.Based on my experience using this product for a few days, I wouldn’t recommend it to family and friends.

I liked that this UK made Wild Science Lab Leaf & Seed Root Therapy Strengthening Hair Mask is vegan, cruelty free as well as being silicone, sulphate and paraben free. I also liked the fact that the mask is suitable for all hair types, included colour treated.At £29 for the 200ml plastic tub on offer, my expectations were understandably high. I would imagine this large tub will go a long way as little product is needed even if it's used twice weekly as the pack suggests. It needs to be massaged into clean damp hair and left for 10-15 minutes before being rinsed off. it's easy to apply as the mask is a loose creamy texture.I've tried this hair mask once - but I actually wasn't too keen on how my hair felt afterwards which was as though product were left on it so I'm unlikely to repeat the experience. If you have thick hair like me it will take some time to rinse out too. Plenty of hydrating ingredients are included - Hemp Seed, Avocado Oil and Shea Butter along with Green Tea, an antioxidant. But I'm afraid I didn't find the fragrance of this hair mask appealing either.For those with less thick hair or hair that's excessively dry and damaged this Wild Science Lab product may work well. Unfortunately it didn't do anything for me - and the price is very steep for a brand that's still in the process of establishing itself in the haircare market.

Before I found Wild Science Lab Leaf + Seed hair products, I had frizzy, unmanageable hair. Now I have soft, silky, smooth, almost straight hair that rarely needs hair straighteners after blow drying.I find hair masks a bit faffy as I wash my hair in the shower so I have to get out of the shower, dry off, apply the mask, wait 15 minutes, and get back in the shower. They are worth doing every now and again, however, Wild Science Lab recommends using the root therapy mask twice per week but I don’t have the patience for that.It’s an intensive conditioner for your hair and my hair responded well to it. The smell is pleasant, slightly floral and powdery without being overly funky like some other products in the range, and it has a gel-like consistency to the cream which makes it easy to spread on the hair. I wasn’t sure how much to use so I scooped just a small half-handful out of the tub and massaged it into my hair.It rinsed off easily and my hair felt softer and more conditioned after blowdrying. My hair seemed to like it; it didn’t feel coated or loaded with product so I’m pleased with the results.

May seem expensive but if like me you indulge vanity over the health of your hair then this hair masque is for you.May seem expensive but offers such great value for money and your hair will thank you .No over whelming aroma just a light scent that lasts about 2 days, really does exactly what it says.I have super porous roots so I didn't massage this right into my roots, left about a inch of hair away from my scalp and concentrated more on the roots of my hair and it works miracles on over processed hair.I did massage this into my scalp a few times but found it too rich for my scalp and it left my hair looking greasy, it's all about knowing your hair type. I fidn regualr conditioner too much for my scalp so I try to keep conditioing products off y scalp.My once dry, straw looking hair is now smooth, shiney and healthy looking and best of all this masque is parabeen free so win win.

I am not a massive fan of this product. I have very long dry hair that is constantly bleached and dyed, it needs all the hydration it can get from her masks. I have used lots of her masks in the past when I find out that this particular hair mask cost £29 I was expecting a miracle result. However what I was left with was nothing more than what I already use and normally pay under £5. The tub is a good size and the product smells very nice and flowery however it does not work miracles and the results only last if you keep using the product. I put this on after I’ve had a shower and leave it overnight. And then just rinse my hair off in the morning. It does make my hair very shiny and soft however within 72 hours it’s back to dry and frizzy again. The tub says it’s recommended to use twice a week however this means the tub wouldn’t last me very long. Overall I feel it’s extremely overpriced for a short term effect And my hair breakage was certainly unchanged
