Great project with dad!
Our experience with this Time Engine Calendar kit was very positive. The instructions were very clear. Each step was no more than a few pieces each which made it easy to keep track of things. The little wood pins fit quite snugly which kept the parts together tightly. We did use a small hammer to get the pins to seat on most parts. There are extra pins so don’t worry about it if you break a few. The precision of the laser cuts was spot on so everything lined up properly. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed putting it together!

Beautiful and worth the time and effort
Not exactly the easiest wood model to build...There are a few delicate pieces and it would help to have a tiny hammer and a decent work space...Also the kit does not come with wax, but having some beeswax handy would be a good idea

Nice challenge, cute calendar!
I bought this for an interesting piece for my office. The directions were clear and easy to follow. The only disappointing piece were the fragility of the days and months. After reading reviews, I was extra careful and still broke two pieces. Luckily one could be glued. The other had to be replaced with a blank which I’ll have to paint. It would be nice if extra pieces with days and months printed on each side. Overall it was a fun build.

Excellent
Thanks for the tips from previous reviewers. I am able to put all pieces together without breaking any piece. Well made as usual.

Simple Yet Challenging
This is a simple project to put together except for one thing. Most of the parts are big and round and some are heavy plastic. I recommend that as a first step you glue the numbers onto the back pieces. They will then be dry when needed. The hardest steps are the day and month wheels. The flexible pieces are very fragile. There are 2 spare blank ones. Do not push from the center of the pieces. There is a video on how to attach to the smaller end. You must do opposing sides first. Trying to do it in sequence is almost impossible. The clock is very low quality and you would never use it by itself. After 24 hours it seems to have the correct time. It may not be obvious but be sure to rotate the month and day wheels using what looks like a ships wheel. Do not press on the curved parts. One negative is that they designed it with a smaller drum with less panels for the first digit of the date. It makes it look a little strange. I also recommend that you glue the pegs that go through the plastic end pieces. They kept coming loose on my model.

Pieces are fragile and no extra parts are included
Overall, this is fun to put together. The only issue is that the kit only includes exactly as many pieces as are needed to complete the set—there are no backup pieces if anything breaks. The wood is also a bit thin, so the pieces are a bit fragile.Specifically, flexible end pieces on either side with the months and days of the week are EXTREMELY fragile and there are (which, in fairness, the instructions do warn about). While I tried to be careful, unfortunately, a couple of these pieces broke when I was trying to connect them into another piece. I was able to glue one of them back together but the other one is just… broken. And because there’s no backup I just have a blank spot where Wednesday should be.Overall, the lack of extra pieces took the kit from being great to just okay. Would recommend getting a bottle of crazy glue with a fine tip if you plan to do this one.UPDATE: When I got to the end of this project where I connected the two sides together they did not line up, meaning the legs only fir where one sat flat on the end and the other was on a pivot. Overall it was a very frustrating and disappointing project.

Super fun but be careful!!!
We’ve done a few of these wood puzzles from ROKR but this one, although not particularly tricky had SOME DAINTY parts. It tells you to be carful with the bendy parts, and we were but still, we broke 8 in total. I glued them back together with wood glue and once set, we just painted the whole project with wood glue just to make sure everything would stay and the Brocken pieces stayed together. In the end it looked and worked great!!! So don’t give up if you brake a piece, just fix it give it some time and keep going.

A headache to assemble but overall I am satisfied.
Assembly was a pain, I saw some reviews mentioning the problem clearly that there were fragile parts. Thought I could be extra careful and be the one person who wouldn't break any but I still snapped a couple. Easy fix with super glue though, the finished puzzle looks nice on my desk.
