I only gave these a couple quick trial walks around my neighborhood before the trip, but they easily carried me through 10-15 mile days on a range of surfaces (concrete, cobblestone, uneven dirt) without any pain, rubbing, etc. Pros: lightweight (especially compared to my Chacos), no rubbing/chafing from the straps, super comfortable footbed, good traction even on wet surfaces, no issues with the ankle irritation (the vertical strap that rises up below the outer ankle and connects to the back strap has notoriously been an area on other sandals that will cut into my ankle). Cons: limited adjustment - there is only one strap with velcro to adjust the fit, and I personally would love to make the straps that cross over my toe area a bit tighter.
