They certainly didn't break!
I pull really tight on my shoelaces, so, after wearing a new pair of shoes for about a week, the default black shoelaces broke. They're Marrell - I have a pair of running shoes that work great, but for my sneakers, they just didn't make the shoelaces strong enough. So, I decided to get the strongest shoelaces I could find. When I put them on at first, they seemed pretty thick, and they were really stiff. It was a little annoying how stiff they were - it made it harder to tie them. However, after a week or 2, they became more flexible, and they're easier to tie now. Either that, or I just got used to them. Apparently they're supposed to go on boots, but they've worked perfectly well on my sneakers. I got them over 5 months ago, and there's no sign of damage or degradation - they seem just as strong as they did 5 months ago.

Best boot laces I’ve had
After 4 years of abuse(March 30, 2020 - March 28, 2024), I finally had a lace break today. Needless to say, I’ve already ordered another pair. These things are amazing! Before these laces, I was used to my boot laces coming untied every once in a while…… in the 4 years that these lasted, I bed I could count on my fingers how many times they came untied. They grip and don’t let go. I work in maintenance In a sawmill so my boots and laces get abused pretty badly. They lasted through 5 pairs of boots!!!! I know it’s a bit of money for laces…… but these have in fact saved me money. Just buy them and try them, I guarantee you won’t regret it!

Holds up to heavy sparks from grinders!
Most durable laces that can still be tied well enough that I have ever seen!Lasted over two years of heavy sparks and even occasional molten metal from use as a steel pipe fitter/fabricator. Normal cheap laces last a month or two, "durable" laces and the original laces that come with the name brand timberland boots last 3-5 months, these lasted over two years and more than paid in the difference in cost. Still they failed in the same way, dry rot and failure in the underside which never got cleaned but zero damage from sparks so they far outlasted everything. To give an idea of the abuse, my $190 timberland boots only last 12-16 months and my full leather apron to block the sparks at my stomach only lasts a year so these things can clearly take abuse. Worth the money for me most definitely. The main con is the cost, really unless your dealing with sparks or mud these arent worth your money in my opinion, but some people really need laces that can handle sparks and weld slpatter and these work for that surprizingly well. The only real con beyond the cost is the stiffness, they are more difficult to tie but I learned an effective way to tie it with little risk of untieing and easy untieing later. Single underloop to start basically the way most teach to tie shoes, then single bunny ear and pull the otherside all the way through (dont make two ears at the same time, just one), then bunny ear the other side as a double tie and get it very tight. The first bunny ear tightens to the shoe and the second ear tightens to the first ear. This way never has come untied unless the string was left too long and got stepped on, actually these get tighter than conventional laces only doing this way specifically but releasing isnt an issue since pulling the correct string will pull out one loop then pull the other and its untied. The laces do require a very tight tie to not come untied, but doing the separate single bunny ears as described allows for a very tight tie without the shoe itself being too tight. Dunno why but tieing the bunny ears together for a double tie does not stay tied since they are too stiff, and only doing the bunny ears for a single tie as normally taught for tennis shoes doesnt stay either. And this style isnt as effective with normal laces as with these laces either, im on my feet for 10-12 hours a day in these climbing over stuff and climbing inside of pipe and never came untied unless the release string was pulled. Yet my thin laces on my tennis shoes never stayed tied with this tieing style. If you need laces that can handle sparks and can figure out a tie for them since they are thicker these are very highly recommended!

Mostly Good
I’ve been wearing these laces for about a month and I noticed two key things.1. The laces haven’t frayed. They seem very strong which does make me think they’re durable. However, the stiffness can make it tough to tie a tight knot.2. They fade. I ordered black and after a month the laces look more like a light gray. I added a picture of when I first put on one of the laces (I left the other boot with the same laces that came with them) as well as a picture from a month after wearing them when I put on the second brand new lace.I have 7 eyelets on my boots, and ordered a 50”-something inch lace only to have them be way to short. I went up one size (60”-something) and it was just long enough for a single knot. That might be user error since I listened to Google though.Overall, I really like the laces because at the end of the day, I just wanted something that would stay intact and not break, which these appear to be doing a good job of. I do wish the color didn’t fade though.

Best Round Shoelaces
After trying two pairs of another brand, waxed and unwaxed, the laces didn’t stay tied. It was so frustrating. Then I came across these laces and they stayed tied all day. What a pleasure that a shoe lace can make in your life. These are the best shoe laces. Flat shoelaces generally stay tied. But when you need round, these are the best. And apparently they do not tear either.

Perfect shade on my Grant Stone Ottawa’s in bourbon suede.
I bought these for my GS bourbon suede Ottawa’s as you can see from the picture it is the perfect shade to compliment my boots. They match my boot’s natural welt perfectly. They seem like they are super heavy duty. They stay tied together for an entire day no problems.I bought these because Guarded Good’s stopped selling their brown round braided waxed cotton laces on Amazon and I didn’t want to buy directly from them. These will not fray and feels like they are made really well. I like them a lot and a great replacement for GG’s. Thanks in advance!

The media could not be loaded. These are an absolute game-changer! As someone who works in welding and needs durable, reliable gear, these laces have become an essential part of my workday. These laces are virtually indestructible, thanks to their advanced design and construction. No more worrying about my laces snapping mid-shift – these bad boys can handle whatever I throw at them. And let's not forget about convenience.
