Clear, concise, and illumimating
My favorite astrology book. It's fot the general reader although practitioners will find it illuminating as well. You will end up with far more than a general overview, or lots of disconnected information on the other hand. If you are short on reading time, simply read the "sun sign" parts of your own sign plus one or two people close to (or estranged from) you. This in itself will be worth the expense in time and money. Please don't pass this up because you've heard scandalous stuff about the Swami. If you are upset about anything you've read re this part of his life, do yourself and others a favor and look into it more fully. It may help you grow up! The Swami has produced a significant body of excellent work. Particularly interesting is the conversation he had with close students just after the trial (in 1993 I think) began.

Very informative and well written book on Astrology and Spirituality. I admire Swami Kriyananda for his dedication to Yogananda and his spiritual growth. He is very a very intelligent, spiritual and thoughtful writer and person. Highly recommend this book.

An all-time classic!
I have the old orange version of this book, and have read it so many times the cover is falling apart. I wanted to share it with friends but grew too attached to my copy to lend it out, so glad to see it is still available. I hope they keep printing this book forever. Truly the best explanation of astrology and the best definition of the signs I have ever read. You must get this if you're interested in astrology.

The Best Book on Zodiac Signs!
As an advanced western astrology student, I've read and studied many astrology books but for me this (along with Dane Rudhyar's Twelve Houses) are the best books I've come across so far. Perhaps it's the simplicity of text which makes for easy understanding or perhaps the element of spirituality which many western astrology books are so afraid to embrace for fear of being considered unscientific. Whatever it is, this is the first time I've been able to connect the dots between all signs to make it an whole topic without any confusion. It's truly a gem.I advice anyone buying this book to read ALL OF THE SUN SIGNS and not just your specific signs for we all have the whole of the signs within us and the material in this book shows us how to integrate all into wholeness for the goal of spiritual maturity and personal development.
