Exactly what I needed to water proof my shower drain.

I am working through a renovation on an old house with problems- Schluter to the rescue with a new shower roughed out all in orange.This adapted perfectly to the old cast iron with an ABS P trap and stub, and although the install is a little precarious when you don't have access from underneath, there was enough "fudge factor" in the Schluter pan and drain to ensure the drain was level and would breathe another 70 years of service into this bathroom.There are a lot of drains that are compatible with the Schluter system, but the decision to go with an alternative should not be made lightly. The quality of the original is not going to let you down, and if you don't have access to the plumbing under the slab like me, it'll be a very costly mistake to fix if the install doesn't go perfectly.

I needed the abs drain and this was it! Would order again. Cheaper than the big box stores that rhyme with Dome Sleepo.

Needed ABS version and is hard to find locally. This is designed to use with Schluter Shower Pan and can be used without. Based on what OATEY and others drains can offer, this is better and well worth the cost, (which is not much more) This version is for use with existing ABS 2 inch drain pipe, but there are other versions and also a PVC version if that is what you have.
