I bought this watch for my son's 21st birthday. We looked at watches in the high street and he chose this which was priced at £300. Since I have had a lot of experience buying watches through Amazon for myself, and therefore know there is often a considerable saving to be made, I looked for the watch on here. Found it for £256 with free p&p sold by Francis and Gaye.The watch was ordered early one afternoon and to my surprise arrived the next day in just under 24 hrs, fantastic!I set up the watch and removed a number of links to fit my son's wrist with no problems. He loves the watch. My wife is pleased with his choice, and she's not usually impressed by how a watch looks. I however love my watches. And if it wasn't for my having bought a new Luminox two weeks previously I might well have been tempted by this Citizen watch myself.Within a fortnight of purchasing the watch I happened to be flying out of Heathrow airport, terminal 4. I found the same watch for sale in departures for £415.80. No mistaking it, its exactly the same watch, I checked. And that was supposed to have been reduced in price from £499. I pass through Heathrow and many other airports regularly, so I was already aware that you rarely save money buying there. But a difference of £160. They were even £116 above the rrp high street price. I will try to upload the photo I took of it with my phone. Tax free savings my arse!So in conclusion. A very nice watch, at a reasonable price, from a very nice seller Francis and Gaye via Amazon. You really can't go wrong.My apology's to all at Heathrow duty free for sounding off. But really, £416, that's outrageous. Even for you.

This watch is made to Citizen's usual high standard and replaces an existing Silver and Blue Calibre 8700 watch I have owned for 8 years. The color is more of a dark brown than black (warm charcoal might be an apt description). The finish is excellent. If you do not have the tools you should either invest in the Citizen watch band adjuster from Amazon or take it to a jeweler in order to adjust the watch band. I needed to remove half a link to fit my wrist.The Eco Drive in these watches works flawlessly and I have never had a problem with the recharging mechanism. If you keep it out of light for some time, it will go into power save mode, which you will notice when you bring the watch out as you will see the second hand suddenly execute a rapid movement as it sets itself to the correct seconds. If you keep the watch in the dark for 6 months or more, it will need to be left near or under a light for a couple of hours before it is ready to run correctly.The watch face has increased in diameter over the older watch which surprised me since the diameter was nominally the same. However it clearer and easier to read.The watch is quite heavy but it easy to wear and, since I was already used to wearing a watch of this weight, I had no issues adapting to wearing the watch. People used to very light titanium watches may need to consider this when purchasing one of these watches. I use this watch as an everyday watch saving more formal dress watches for when I need them.Overall this is a very nice watch for everyday use and looks tough enough to withstand most of my usual day to day activities. Recommended.

I bought this as a 40th birthday present for my husband and he really loves it. The watch has a beautiful finish and is just a little different than the more common silver or matte black that you see out there. This is a very good quality and well wearing watch. My hubby has worn it almost daily for 2 1/2 years and it still looks brand new. The Amazon price was about $150 less than the same watch model at our local jewellery store. I can't speak to all of the functions since that is really his thing and not mine, but it seems to check all of his boxes. It also looks very sexy!

I love citizen watches, I love the Eco Drive, and I love the look of this watch.The only problem is the black color on the band wears off. I work at a desk on a computer very often, so my wrist rest on the table as I move my hands back and forth, the bottom side of the band rubs on the top of the desk, taking the black coloring off.Citizen should step up and replace the bands with a solid black material band.

I love the look and weight of this watch. Great price as well. Gave it 4 stars because the alarm is really confusing. I just don't use it which is fine too. Bottom line I would buy it again in a second.
