Q: Is the texture suppose to be like a mousse? I ordered some and expected a liquid texture like regular acrylic.

Gesso is thicker than acrylic paint. It is water based and can be thinned. I spread it with a form brush to make black canvas for oil painting.

Q: do you have to mix this product , before useing?

No, It is premixed. I usually shake the bottle but it is not necessary. Good product
