Pettex Pampuss Woodbase Cat Litter, 5 Liter

Cat hated it!!Wouldn’t use it!

Not great. I had high hopes for this, wanting to move away from the grit style litter I'd used that seemed to get spread around the house. However, this disintegrates which in one way is good, you know when it's been urinated on. However, there's no pine fresh scent to it, and it doesnt absorb urine scent or the moisture from urine particularly well. It's hard to sift or collect used litter as it falls through the scoop holes, is damp and like fine but wet sawdust and it stinks.

Image of product was for 30 liters, product sold was 15 liters. I effectively paid £20 for 30 liters when I normally pay £20 for 60 liters.After a search I found petsathome selling Pettex Pampuss Woodbase litter for a very good price (2 x 30 liters) delivered for under £15.

Nothing against the seller. The item came quickly.. but this isn't the first time I've had problems from pellets. Years back they were good and long lasting now they dissolve instantly. With in a day and actual cat litter on top.. my cats have been fine. I'd stored this away as had problem last time we got pellets elsewhere. We've Ben using usual but last week I decided to use the pellets in the big tray and put normal in smaller tray as my Persian doesn't like pellets but my ragdoll who's used the pellet tray had started scratching and grooming her front. There's no fleas I kept thoroughly checking her. But when I went comb her her fur has a huge bald spot now. I've noticed non stop scratching and the spot dirty. The litter is like sand even though I did add a little normal litter over the top. Ive binned it and give her a shower her front and belly was filthy even though I only bathed her few weeks ago. I feel so guilty. Had to shampoo her like 4 times it was that bad. But they're anti itching shampoos so hopefully her skin will calm now. There's nothing there. Just all brown dust ran out. So I can't recommend pellets. They were dust within a day. But again shipping was Pronto etc just not a good product

This is great. I have 4 cats and i Foster and this is the best litter, it doesn't smell after they've used it, it doesn't stick to the litter tray, its light so it doesn't tear the bag when you empty it out. And I find my cats prefer it. You don't get dust all over the shop or have it flicked all over the place when they exit like you do with the other kind of litter. I find these excellent value, i change multiple litter boxes daily and I was paying a heck of a lot more a month on litter when i was using the grit/stone kinda stuff.

I’ve been using this for years, I like that it can be delivered to my door, saves me trying to carry cat litter home.It crumbles when wet, easy to pick out and bag solids. The granules do get kicked out and spread, but much easier to vacuum than gritty or gel litters. And cats gotta 🐈 🐈‍⬛ be cats!
