FireBlack220 Gasket for Vision Grill Super high Temp Black self Stick lid Seal

As advertised. Prepped the surface well and it sticks perfectly. Created a great seal and is holding up well after a month of grilling.

Worked great, easy to install and sufficient quantity.

I waited a while before I did this review. I didn't think it was right to just install it and write a review later that day. Let's face it the product had to be tested and used. I've done at least a dozen smokes. There were a couple times when I was heating up the smoker that the temperature got above 500° due to my inattention. The gasket showed no signs of even minor singeing. I did add other high temp adhesive when I applied the gasket as added insurance. Though I did thoroughly clean every surface where the gasket was being installed. Basically, this product does everything that it's supposed to do and stated it will do and a fantastic fashion.

We had to replace worn out gasket on our Vision grill, and the roll has more than enough to go around the grill including the top vent.

I have had this Vision Kamodo grill for about 15 years and the seals last two to three years. This is the first time I have used this manufacturer's product and to be honest is just as good as the others I have used. I have never used the OEM seal replacements so I can not really compare to those. Installing them is not a problem, removing the old ones and cleaning away the old adhesive is the time consuming part. This company also supplied enough seal material to do the main seal and top cap vent seal, the last one I purchased did not. All seals leak a little after ten or twelve uses, but never enough to be a problem. I would buy this product again and the price is good compared to the local BBQ outlet stores.Update...... Now after two years, seal has worked well but now leaking and breaking apart on surface so I will replace this week. I do a lot of long slow smokes and high temp sears (600 plus), it is the high temp sears that caused the damage. Life about the same as the OEM seal for much less money, so good value.

Installation was so easy on my S-Series Pro Kamado. The pain was removing the old factory installed gasket, but once I removed all the previous adhesive and cleaned the area, the FireBlack went on so easily. I even had more than enough to do the top vent if I wanted, but it is still in good condition. I make a bunch of pizzas on my kamado so I like to do firing at over 600 degrees, and the gasket looks great. With my original felt gasket, it started to singe after the first time and after a dozen it was useless. This has been great.The trickiest part of this gasket is getting the paper separated from the adhesive backing even following the directions. Once apart, the rest came off easily. I would suggest starting the separation close to the end and once they are apart if you marred the gasket, you only need to cut off a very little bit. Once you've circled one half of the kamado keep pulling the backing off before making the cut so you can easily start on the next half.

The Fireblack 220 is the one that has the right thickness to seal the grill. No gaps in the back like the previous replacement gasket I purchased. Great communication for the seller who refunded my first purchase. I purchased the Fireblack 220 from them as well.

This is a VERY easy to install gasket! I replaced my gaskets 2 years ago and that brand was so difficult to bend. This went on like butter! Simply removed the old ones, scraped and wiped the surface with alcohol before plopping down the new one. Very happy with the install and it seems like a quality product. Will update if anything changes.
