This keeps the cats from toileting on my patio 100% of the time. We haven't had much sun to keep it charged, but it lasts for 2 weeks, and is easy to re-charge through the usb port. Beware of rechargeable units which don't have a usb port and say 'leave in the sun for a few hours to re-charge', as you might not see any sun for a while with our climate! Also, units where you have to remove the batteries to charge or replace them are a real faff, and user reports often say the waterproofing soon fails...

this was an upgrade from a different model. used to deter the neighbours dog from messing in the drive, itwas fitted 2 weeks after arrival as we were away. the 1st 2 weeks it worked brilliantly then for no apparent reason it began doing nothing but a low permenant beep. a clear fault that made it completely pointless. Seller was difficult, trying to tell me it was normal when it clearly is not, then telling me theres nothing that can be done becauses its been over 30 days (nothing about this in the listing and very short for an electrical item) did eventually give a partial refund but the item was useless, my other half who is an electrician took this apart and found a manufacturing fault with the speakers, not worth fixing, its now in the bin. may or may not be a problem with other units but i wouldnt recommend this product for the item or the service.

Don't know why I keep buying these things (well I do really - to keep cats from pooping on my garden and killing garden birds ) , as usual this one failed after a couple of months and now just makes a horrible manic clicking noise at any setting - back it goes .... again

I found one cat sitting serenely close to the device, but I hadn't set the frequency correctly. I will give a proper review in due course.

The neighbours 4 cats used our flat garage roof as a toilet. This baby can be charged by USB and solar. Yes it works, provided you keep the batteries charged. Solar is, no sun no charge, the is when you USB it. Any how the cats have moved on and shut else where. Parfect

Great product because its solar powered had these before and they eat batteries so the solar element is great. Sensitivity is good as you can adjust it. Stops the cats doing their business in my kids play area

Works a treat so far. Cats got used to the last sonic one so this one with the strobes gives them a little more to think about before leaving.

I saw this with really good reviews, I pondered, then thought if so many people rate it so highly, it must be good. It arrived when stated and nicely packaged. Easy to work out how to use etc. I also have a Nature Camera in the garden, so I positioned it to record the CAT fleeing in utter shock and totally scared shi*less....I used it for two weeks.... every night the same cats would approach the area covered by the Cat Scarer.... and every night they almost seemed to take it in turns to slowly walk up to the DETERRENT and sniff it and completely ignore it !!Utter waste of money and returned for full refund, which was instant.
