Fantastic romance - western or otherwise.
I just loved this story. Jo Goodman is at her witty and creative best here. Morgan Longstreet is a quiet man who keeps his cards close to his chest. He keeps himself to himself and has a past that he'd rather forget but he is lonely and wants a companion. Jane Middlebourne also has a past she would rather forget and wants to make a good future for herself and the man she has been corresponding with but at first meeting they clash. They are both inwardly vulnerable but have a strength of character and integrity that each other needs. They have the wit and wisdom to be a perfect match but if they are to be true soulmates then the smouldering attraction they feel for each other must run deep and fierce and they must overcome the very real dangers that threaten in order to realise their love.Apart from the lovely Morgan and Jane it was great to meet the other characters I love from the town again, especially Finn and Rabbit.A definite keeper - I hope we will see more from Bitter Creek.

Slow slow burn
This was a slow burn read for me, I wasn’t quite feeling it (not bad just not as exciting as other similar reads coming in to this). Somewhere along the way it turned and by the end I was so happy and had tears.

More than just a romance
This was a well written book that held my interest the entire way through and I highly recommend it to others. You will enjoy the conversation between the principals and, also, the growing trust and caring between them. Jo Goodman's last 3 or 4 books have been very readable, but in my estimation this story was the best one she has published in some time.
