Basco Classic Sliding Shower Door, Fits 56-60 inch opening, Clear Glass, Oil Rubbed Bronze Finish

Hey y’all, We are having a bathroom remodeled. I wanted a sliding door in oil rubbed bronze. I found one at the big box store but we would need to pick it up. I checked on Amazon and found this one, which was what I wanted, quite a bit less than the one at the big box store…and it would be delivered! A perfect trifecta ;) It arrived on schedule and was in perfect condition. Our contractor said the instructions were helpful. He said he installs many where the instructions are only pictures so he was pleased with these. Our opening was 58” and this door fit our space. I think it looks great. I am pleased with this purchase.

I received the replacement of the damaged glass panel part in the package, contractor installed the unit's structure and placed the Frist panel on the door frame perfectly and very cautiously not to damaging the panel, and carried the second panel of the door glass, lifted the inside door in the upper track and hooked perfectly on the rollers into the track. Just simply touching the roller to the track the entire door panel shattered. I was watching him in dismay and disappointment that he was handling everything carefully, and safely and has been doing this kind of work for long time, yet it chattered in one split second and he was using eye protection glasses, gloves, and he did not do anything wrong, after placing it on the track let go of the glass; it comedown crashing. Contractor had a some cuts in his right hand fingers and was shaking from what took place.He did consider himself lucky with minimal cuts .I described exact what happen.He indicated that something wrong with the bracket inside the top Frame and could not believe what happened, however, the glass is broken to pieces and he did everything based on the instruction provided with the package, nevertheless, he insisted on faulty top bracket that held the rollers that failed to support the weight of the glass panel. Glass can be very temperamental and easily shattered.I am going to contact Amazon and Basco to replace the unit with framed glass panels rather than this bad design of such a product.Amazon Please contact me on how to get the process going.

Update: The saga continues. The 2 clamps that hold the glass onto the upper track..won't stay on, going on 3 weeks now. The doors keep sliding off the clamps and dragging at the bottom. The miniscule drops of some sort of circular sticky stuff that came with it already on the upper glass, rolled up into nothing with the first installation. We've even tried 3M tape, and it slid back down THE NEXT DAY. We are at a loss as how to fix it now..short of using gorilla glue maybe!!It was bent on the right side rail. It appears to be of good quality and a good price. But..instructions were incomplete. Nowhere did it say what to do with the 4 spacers, we figured it out after it was installed. There were tiny set screws for the upper guides, but they were pointed and would not screw all the way in. The instructions did not say to tap the side rails down, flush with the bottom rail, so it's 2 inches too short and doesn't glide..it's just kinda hanging and we are using a towel on the floor to catch the water. Needless to say, we are taking it down asap and reinstalling it again. Come on sellers!! Make easy to understand and complete explanations..PLEASE. And this was 2-50 somethings who built a beautiful barn with no blueprint in 2020. If it was difficult for us, it must have been bad instructions to begin with.

We were very impressed with the quality of the door for the money we spent.It looks great in our bathroom.

I ordered this door in May. it took nearly a month to receive. It was for my mom and dad. I got sick with heart trouble, had a quadruple bypass, died on the table, and they revived me. I had a long recovery. Because I live in Alabama and my parents live in Missouri it took us getting time off our regular jobs to make time to try to finally finish the bathroom. While having it installed my dad was watching in the bathroom while door was being lifted into place. No problems with the first one but this one exploded. They had never seen anything like it. The door was not hit on anything. Nothing on the man installing it's hands such as rings or anything. It was in the air at the time. When it exploded it had glass pieces and shards all over the bathroom. Not only on the floor but on the counter across the room as well. It cut the back of my dads hand. I had to sweep a path out of the bathroom for the men to come out. My dad had glass on his skin, clothes, everywhere. I had him shower to get the glass shards off his neck. If my nephews would have been there it could have really injured them horribly. I wish Basco or Amazon would just do the right thing and replace it with doors and hardware that are not flawed. Not asking for something for nothing just what I deserve for the money I have already paid.I keep trying to have it replaced but Basco and Amazon will not. I get the run around. I won't get anything from them in the future if they continue to be thieves and not replace what is clearly a defect!!!!

We changed out our jacuzzi tub for a walk-in shower. These doors just set the shower off. We got a lot of compliments. Well worth the money and delivery made for not having to make a trip to our local home supply store. Easy install.

Very nice doors
