I was using a competitor's light panel, but they stopped making it, so I ended up buying this as a second panel. I have a 17X17 photography box, that I use to shoot mostly books for sale on the web. Books often have somewhat reflective covers, and I found the LED strips, even with their multiple light sources (36 or so bulbs), would reflect on the covers as little pinpoint lights. These light panels offer sourceless light evenly across the panel. Much easier to work with reflective surfaces, and can be set up to have zero shadows. These panels can be layed on a surface, and the product placed on the panel, to allow an even-lit background for top-down shooting.This panel is largely superior to my first one. It offers two light values: an even white, and at the flip of a switch, a warmer off-white (my original only has the one white value, and from my casual viewing, it seems many panels only have the white value).The light strength is controlled by a rheostat dial, which works well. My minor reservation is that very lowest light on this panel is somewhat brighter than the lowest value on my original light. Low light can be useful when shooting reflective surfaces, if you use a camera that corrects for low light. Note that iPhone cameras are very good in low light and work with low-light settings. However regular digital cameras will work better with more light, and this issue would not affect true cameras.One final tip. This panel is 15X15 inches. If used as a top light or side light (I use this and the original as two side lights), it will need to be held in place somehow. I made a little cardboard frame, which works fine for the overhead. Later I bought a pack of 12-inch silicone "rubber" bands, and they work great to hold the lights in place in my 17X17 photobox frame.

Honestly works like you’d expect it to. I did find that when you use it for a while it will auto dim. You just have to crank that bad boy up again and you’re good to go.

I purchased this light tracing pad in February 2023. Liked it but didn't use it too often until recently. I was doing a demonstration for my camera club when it wouldn't work. There is only a 30-day window for returns. I'm now out $60 and am stuck with a piece of "Made in China" JUNK. Don't purchase because the company does not stand behind it's product. Should have lasted longer than 6 months with light use.

Love that you can adjust the light temperature and brightness. Fits perfectly in the bundled photo box. Good quality, a bit heavier than I thought it would be.
