I love reading and re-reading the stories in here
This is such a darling of a book. I love reading and re-reading the stories in here. The stories take you into an innocent, pure world. A world full of longings and promises and also romance. There is a tint of sadness in some stories. Not at all soapy-emotional. But just a little turn of phrase would give a beautiful turn to the story. But that's what Mr. Ruskibn Bond does, he doesn't need huge paragraphs to make his point. He can make a story hit straight into our hearts with just a few carefully chosen words. I love the cover too. Also, one thing special about him is that he, I personally think, blurs the line between fiction and autobiographical writings. I mean some stories are so realistic that one feels that the protagonist is none other than the author himself. Truly magical. And so romantic!

Yet another book of ruskin bond with a light essence of mysterious, romantic, incomprehensible love
It is a best read for impatient, sensible readers... Go for it... This book revolves around a bunch of short stories with a light tinge of love, affection, mystery....with a wide range of moods, readers shall be able to indulge deeply and yet recover from the persisting trail of each story, when they'll move from one to the next story.... It'll light up the age old debate of what love actually is... Every definition conveyed through the stories will seem apt.. But still there will be that sweet confusion which will drive the readers to keep on reading the book..... Fully...

A COLLECTION OF SOME BEAUTIFUL STORIES WAITING TO BE TOLD
Ruskin Bond beautifully portrays love of all age groups from adolescence to middle age to older years. There were a few stories which made me smile despite the fact that they were mostly tales of unrequited love. The kind of attraction the protagonist feels for women through these stories has a lot to do with their association with nature. The beauty of hilly regions of Dehradun & Mussoorie(Where Ruskin Bond spent most of his growing years) is vividly described through the pages of this book which I would suggest everyone to read purely for the charm that Ruskin Bond emanates! :)

Waste of money.
I bought this book by reading the positive reviews on Amazon. Didn't know this would be about a 30+ yr old weirdo who sexually exploits under 18 girls. I am amazed how the publishers accepted these stories and why are there 4-5 stars for this book.

A good read for the valentine's week
I like the way Ruskin bond narrates stories. I had read his children's tales but this is the first time I read something different. The book reveals love in some of its flavors. Before getting into the book I wondered how a bachelor can write about love. But Bond is well qualified. The book is not for them who are judgemental or socially conditioned. Here love is expressed in its natural form, what he remembers while writing these stories is he is a species called man and he can love another species called woman.
