We take elderberry syrup daily as virus protection, and when you buy name brand it can get really expensive! We discovered NOW Elderberry Syrup a few years ago and we love it. This brand has more mg's in one dose than some brands have in a whole bottle, making it the best value. Elderberry syrup is not tasty without sugar, but this is universal though any brand not just NOW. Bottom line: we will keep buying this brand as we find it superior in value.

I have purchased several bottles of this product. There are no fillers it just seems to be black elderberry. I have had a compromised immune system and have noticed the difference in my being able to fight infection since I have use this.

I always catch what is going around at work. Started feeling like I was coming down with something. The usual symptoms, itchy throat and slight chills. Someone told me about elderberry syrup, how it can help with immunity. A lady I know gets a kit and makes it herself. I’m to busy for that. So I did tons of research and settled on the Now brand. Straight up the taste does not bother me, however it is really tangy and bothered my throat, I have chronic acid reflux so my throat is sensitive. So I took 3 tsps and mixed it in my water bottle, makes the water taste yummy and the water helps take the sting out of it. It could be coincidence, but I swear the next day I was feeling a bit better.

Initially I was hesitant to take elderberry because I encountered conflicting info suggesting that it might induce cytokine activity and might not work for covid-19. But When I read that it blocks viruses from attaching to ACE 2 receptors, I decided to order some and use it anyway. It is always my go to remedy when I feel illness coming on. A few weeks ago I thought I might have mild covid 19 symptoms. I had increased sputum production, the beginnings of a dry cough and it really felt like maybe I was getting sick. I had already been taking golden seal and 3 drops of gse internally, vitamin d, vitamin b complex. As soon as this stuff came in the mail I starting dosing myself with it, taking a tbsp every 3-4 hours. Within a day or two of taking specifically the elderberry liquid, the extra mucus production stopped and I had no more malaise. I socially isolated for about a week to make sure and yup, no illness. Its been about two weeks now, I’m still dosing myself with this stuff like 2 tbsps a day on days when I go out in public. I believe it is saving my life.

My kids take this every day and it seems to keep them away from the flu. Good flavor.

Overall, I really like this syrup. A few times, we've started to get sick and then took this for a few days and symptoms were less, but other times it doesn't make too much of a difference. If I'm wrong on this forgive me, but I believe studies show there is more efficacy with the flu virus and not so much with regular cold viruses. My kids love this syrup too and it's a great price for what you get! Overall, love this product.

I’ve been taking elderberry syrup for couple years now through out the flu season, and I don’t get sick. It’s such a great immunity booster. I swear by it.

Maybe its because I dont have too much to compare with. Maybe the only experience I have is with my regular brand that went from 13 dollars a bottle to 30. here on amazon. since covid. But this stuff its like water compared to my regular brand and its got particulate and its cloudy. not that you cant make an extract like this but I can guarantee its not 10:1 ./ its not even 5:1// 5 to one would even result in a thick syrup. this is about consistency of water not a bit more. It has a cloudy particulate it in. I would say if you threw the berries in the food processor and didnt' cook or reduce them which you must do with elderberry, you would end up with this squeezed grape juice. There is no way a treaspoon of this will do anything.. You would need a cup of this to make one teaspoon of the stuff i normally take, and then you would have to filter , thereby even cutting it in half once again.. the two bottles I purchased is about the equivalent of 1 teaspoon of what i am used to. Useless garbage - total dissapointment.. not worth 21 bucks.. not worth 10 bucks. not worth 2 bucks.
