Useful around a farm
I use these for many things around the farm and they are wonderful to have on hand.For the value they are great. They are just as durable and sturdy as the ones I have purchased at the feed store or hardware store. I don't know what they consider "heavy duty" but they have helped me secure the latch on the chicken coop, hold together fence panels, made temporary leashes, hang buckets of feed and water, and so far have endured being out in the rain fairly well. if they get a little rough to open I just squirt them with WD40 and they free right up. I wouldn't try to use them to hold any large animal or anything heavy, but they are quite handy.

Must have when purchasing bondage cuffs Etc. You can never have enough for creativesessions. Chrome plated steel will never wear out if taken care of.

Design Issues
It may not be the manufacturer's fault that these things just don't last around horses. If you want to hang buckets, chain guards or cross ties in barns or stalls, go with carabiner or spring snap hook designs. With bolt or spring snaps, their necks break or springs crap out.

Good Quality Double End Snaps
Good snaps with nice tight springs. So far, my horse has not managed to undo these snaps! I normally like the 4"snaps, but these are doing the jobs I need them for, and aren't as expensive.

Choose their use carefully.
I use these to enclose a wire exercise pen for a puppy. The fasteners are a bit small for hanging feed tubs or fastening gates or stall doors in my opinion. They appear to be well made.

These are NOT steel! They are zinc!
They are NOT "made of premium nickel plated steel" as the copy says. They are ZINC. Not really suitable for any application or animal over about 25 Lbs.
