I've searched for this type of separated banana clips for years and have thrown away $$$ looking for the ones I had so many years ago. I've found them! These combs are made of a flexible material that bends and expands to accept your hair. Unlike the hard plastic ones I've thrown away. There is enough room in between the comb teeth to hold onto your hair. The comb flexs perfectly just like the ones I use to own years ago. I am so, so very happy I finally found these and they work so well. This interlocking comb holds my thin hair (but lots of it) without damage and it holds without slipping. I highly recommend this interlocking comb, you won't regret it. It's the comb the way it was meant to be made, not like anything the Asian market it making.

Have bought others that were hard plastic and thought these would be better made. They are slightly more flexible. Only thing I don't like is teeth on comb are pointed and kind of sharp. I have thin hair and you have to be careful when using them or they hurt your head. Teeth need to be a bit more rounded instead of sharp!

I have long, very thick and curly hair. I've used these two clips to put my hair up for years, but these particular ones are great! Some I own are hard plastic, and they sometimes will come 'unclipped' from eachother, but these are made of a more flexible material that sort of "sticks" (for lack of a better term) them together and they hold securely. The are expensive, in my opinion, but worth it in comparison to others I've used. Give them a try! You simply 'scoop' hair from both sidesof your head, putting one comb in each hand, place them behind your ears, and then bring them up and together at the top/back of your head. Similar to banana clips, but better. a) I have way too much hair for those one piece snap together style clips, and b) you don't lose length since the sides are pulled up, but you don't have to try get the hair from the nape of your neck. Give these a try!

This product is well made and very hard to find in stores the plastic is durableI wore these in the 80's they were popular thenI gave 3 stars not for product but because after 5mins of wear I got a headache I'm giving it another try soonI guess the tension and pulling gave me headache the hold is strong but almost to strong bummer!

Thankx so much for having these available! I didn't think these large combs even existed anymore and I love them!!!! It's been 20+ yrs since i've had my original pair so i was thrilled to see i could still find some.

If took me awhile to realize that it was breaking off my hair, especially underneath because, as others have noted, it is very poorly filed. In addition, it doesn't hold the hair. It LOOKS like the one I used to have years ago, but it isn't good.
