LG Tone Style HBS-SL6S Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Neckband Earbuds Tuned by Meridian Audio, Black

The LG SL6S just replaced a several year old LG HBS1100 headset of the same style. I use them while riding motorcycle. I loved the 1100s, they were very convenient and easy to operate with one hand with decent sound reproduction in earbud styling. I’ve been using in ear buds for riding for 20+ years and tried many brands and styles, both wired and Bluetooth. This review was not solicited by the seller or manufacturer. I am so impressed with them I had to post a comment. My hope is these have the same long service life as the ones they’re replacing.The SL6S is amazing, it blows away the older model, how they get the bass notes to sound so good I don’t know, but it’s impressive. I’m not an audiophile by any means but I do appreciate crisp, clear, faithful music reproduction. At lower volume in traffic I can hear both what’s going on around me and my music. On back country roads with no traffic I can crank it and be treated to great sound while still being able to hear emergency sirens. The earbuds fit snugly inside my ear so there’s no noise from wind blowing over and around the buds.The SL6S has a few new features the the older model didn’t have, it’s more ergonomically designed especially for riders, with fewer buttons to fiddle with, where it took 5 buttons to operate the old set it now only needs 3. The buttons are all on the left side of the neckband, which is also convenient for riders. The neckband closes closely around your neck for a secure fit and feeling. To retract the earbuds you used to need to press buttons on the inside of the neckband, now a quick tug on the lead wire to the earbuds and they retract fully. I expect the battery life to be at least comparable to the 1100s which always has been good for 6 to 7 hours playtime, I’ve never had the battery die on me.. The headset had no charge out of the box and was fully charged in under 2 hours.This set has a couple features I won’t use, one is Google compatibility, I use iPhone, (hint hint to the manufacturer) and the other is an external speaker so you don’t need earbuds in place when making phone calls using the neckband. I don’t use the phone while riding at all, just listen to music.I bought this particular model for the tuning technology provided by Meridian Audio.. I’m very glad I did, these babies sound like over the ear headphones in an earbud configuration, the bass response is great, highs are just a tad muted and mid ranges fine for such compact speakers.If you’re looking for riding earbuds or just something for chores and/or exercise the babies fit the bill. You won’t be sorry, especially for the price point.

Sleeky...compared to the previous model..and works though the battery appears to be draining faster compared to the previous model

I love these! I Put the bar around my neck and can pop the buds in and out without ever dropping or losing them.That said, the sound is not amazing for music, but I am using these mostly for podcasts and audio books and they are perfect
