Pretty good and came with recent firmware
I was skeptical at first, but I finally got my hands on it. It runs so much better compared to my SATA expansion card now that I have 7+ drives running in unraid. Below is the string provided by unraid diagnostics:LSISAS2008: FWVersion(20.00.07.00), ChipRevision(0x03), BiosVersion(00.00.00.00)Protocol=(Initiator,Target)I did run into one parity drive being disabled upon booting unraid, which I doubt was due to the card. Tested the cables by swapping them around and reseating the card to no avail. In the end, after some research, I just decided to resync the parity drive. It is running now and I expect it to work. Will probably post some results once it's done. Not sure whether this is a great deal for it's price but shipping was quick and came with a tracking. Worth considering if you don't trust EBay.Edit: Resync worked. Probably just old errors I couldn't detect since the SATA expansion speeds were far slower compared to this.

ESXi 7.0 U3 and TrueNAS
I wanted to setup a NAS within my Whitebox VMware server for space saving and this worked perfectly.EXSi was able to recognize the Raid Card passthrough worked perfectly and TrueNAS is working with full control over my HDDs.Exactly what I needed. Where other cards I tried did not work.

Came with a low profile bracket. It's not flashed to IT mode.
I wanted to use this card with ESXI 6.7 with passthrough to TrueNAS. It was a painful experience but I got it working eventually. First, the card came with a low profile bracket. Luckily I had a full-size bracket lying around so I replaced the low profile bracket with it. After I inserted the card, ESXI 6.7 failed to boot. It hangs on "loading module megaraid_sas". Since I was planning to passthrough the card to TrueNAS, I deleted the scsi_megaraid_sas driver completely from ESXI 6.7 to prevent it from attempting to load the driver. It worked, then I was able to passthrough the card to TrueNAS. This time, TrueNAS failed to boot. I got an error related to RAID cards indicating that the card wasn't flashed to IT mode. It took me a long time to learn how to flash it, but I did it eventually. Now the card is working as I intended. I paid this much for this particular card because I didn't want to flash it myself. I wanted it to be a plug and play experience but it took me hours to figure out how to flash it. This product was false advertised

Doesn't match description!
I did receive the LSI 9240-8i 6Gbps SAS Raid Card unlike some other comments, HOWEVER...Mine did not come with the normal bracket. It came with a short bracket, so it's currently installed WITHOUT a bracket. It was also NOT FLASHED with IT firmware. Being that I'm new to SAS / HBA cards it was a learning process to get the card flashed. (Took about 5 hours of trial and error to figure everything out).It is currently running fine in my unraid box, and am waiting on a response from the seller to make things right. I will update if/ when I get a response.

Product was as advertised.
I was hesitant to purchase this based on other reviews. But the one I received was an LSI card, was packaged like new, and had the correct firmware installed. Other than the price, I am very pleased. But that's what you have to deal with when you need it right away.
