Good replacement for a worn out predecessor
I literally wore out a mobile mouse 4000, which suffered an untimely tire failure after only ten years of service. This one adds Bluetooth so no little USB receiver to keep track of, but gives up a couple extra functions buttons I very seldom use. The tire failure was the rubber ring in the scroll wheel, by the way.I like the size and shape of the MS mobile mouse, even when sitting at my desk. I have a couple options here including a nice Logitech, but for some reason I go back to the MS mobile Mouse family. They just seem to fit my hand and are more than adequate for day to day use.

Great mouse, worth the money
This mouse is such a good deal that when we lost one we ordered this model again. Then we found the first one and it’s still going strong too despite riding around in the glove box of the truck for several months. Comfortable and reliable, just a nice solid mouse. It came on time and was well packaged.

Convenient Bluetooth connection, but shape could be better
Recently I purchased a Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Mouse 3600 to replace my good old wired Microsoft Notebook Optical Mouse. It requires the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center to be installed for connectivity and for customizing the middle wheel-button. It is convenient that it uses the Bluetooth connection of the laptop and does not require a small transmitter to occupy a USB port. I have had no problems with lag or with the mouse going to sleep. After using the mouse for a week, it seems to be more tiring to use than the Notebook Optical Mouse and causes some hand fatigue after extended use. This is due to the excessive height of the mouse shape where the "bulge" touches my hand. It causes my hand to be inclined slightly at the wrist in relation to my forearm, causing fatigue. I am using it on the arm of my La-Z-Boy, which may exacerbate the problem. I did not have this problem with the small wired Microsoft Notebook Optical Mouse. The Bluetooth Mobile Mouse 3600 is unnecessarily taller than the Notebook Optical and slight taller than a full-sized wired Wheel Mouse Optical. The Bluetooth Mobile Mouse 3600 also has 2 extra buttons activated when pushing the wheel left or right. In Chrome, if a web page is wider than the window and requires a horizontal scrollbar, the buttons will scroll left or right. The behavior is nice and smooth. In Excel 2016, the buttons also scroll left and right, but the behavior is too sensitive, and it's too easy to scroll by multiple pages when you only want a one-page scroll. Also, the scroll sometimes skips over some columns or doesn't scroll enough, perhaps due to varying column widths. This is likely an Excel issue and not a fault of the mouse. It is unfortunate that you cannot reassign the left/right scroll-wheel buttons in the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center. After all, how often does someone really need to scroll left or right. I would rather have the buttons reassigned to switch between tabs in a browser. The middle wheel-button of the Bluetooth Mobile Mouse 3600 requires too much force to push it. It requires more force than the left or right mouse buttons, more than the left/right wheel buttons, and more than scrolling the wheel. I use the middle button often since I have it assigned to double-click, and the excessive force required for the middle wheel-button is annoying. It can cause an unintended wheel movement or unintended activation of the left/right wheel buttons, unless pressed carefully.UPDATE - After 3 months I find the Bluetooth Mobile Mouse 3600 convenient and easy to use. Even though it is somewhat tall, it is more convenient than the corded Microsoft Notebook Optical Mouse. The extra height has not caused any problems (although less comfortable). The battery is still going strong after daily use, even though I often forget to turn off the mouse.I do have a strong complaint about the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center. It does not detect the older wired Microsoft Notebook Optical Mouse or the Wheel Mouse Optical, even though they are both made by Microsoft. It reports "No supported device detected" and "Cannot detect a Microsoft device connected to your computer" (really?). This causes the cursor motion of those mice to be substantially less sensitive than the Bluetooth 3600, and I cannot assign the middle/wheel button of those mice. Microsoft IntelliPoint 8.2 was required to configure those corded mice and gets automatically uninstalled when installing Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center. It is unfortunate that Microsoft cannot support its older products, and maintain separate settings for different mice.
