ECR4Kids Colorful Plastic Art Trays for Fun Kids Crafts at School, Assorted (6-Pack)

We love these trays. I used these trays as a preschool teacher for 15 years and still had them when grandbabies came along. They never lost their color, cracked, or anything. I decided to purchase THESE to add to our collection. They are almost a perfect match to my trays that were purchased possibly 25 years ago. HIGHLY recommend them for art activities or just a "space" for children to put their tiny toys on. If we are creating things with beads, my preference is to use trays with a higher side for kiddos 7 and under.

These trays come in the exact colors I wanted but unfortunately, they are not wide enough for a regular piece of paper to lay flat on them so the kids in my preschool program have difficulty coloring since the paper rides up the sides of the tray. They are easy to wash and store. The size is the only real issue and although its a small issue, it impacts every craft and/or coloring activity we do here. Paint cups, brushes and crayons can't be left on each child's tray as there is simply not enough room.

Shortly after receiving these trays back in June 2020 I gave a 5 star rating. After using these trays for a few months now, I’m bumping it down to 3 stars because they’re too thin and the material is not very durable. The trays have chipped and broken on the edges, which makes it a hazard because it’s so jagged and sharp. My boys have only used the trays around the house for LEGO projects go try to keep their pieces contained while building or for quick project cleanups. I went back and forth between brands and wish I would’ve spent the money on something else.

I ordered 2 sets so 12 trays all total. 5 of the 12 were broken or cracked.Amazon suggested I contact ECR4Kids Customer Service, which I did. I am still waiting for their response.So I do not have all 12 trays for my classroom as of yet. Attached 2 of the pictures of broken/cracked trays.The ones that are not cracked or broken are working out just fine. Easy to handle and clean.

I ordered these for my 5 year old daughter because she’s always working on some art project or another. It makes it so much easier since it provides a flat surface to work on, and keeps the area around her more clean. If we need to move to another area of the house mid project we just pick up the whole tray and go. Super easy to use. We also find that these are great as a serving tray when she’s eating or snacking. Great purchase, definitely recommend.
