The Musicians of Bremen (Flip-Up Fairy Tales)

A lovely story with great illustrations.

Great, traditional story, perfect print size and colourful illustration.

We have other books from this flip-up series that we're very happy with, but this one was a bit of a disappointment. The story just doesn't make a lot of sense - why do the animals want to be musicians? It all seems to get a bit lost in the re-telling. Having said that, my 3-year old son loves the book, the flip-ups are very well designed and the illustrations are nice. I guess it's hard to sum up and simplify a fairy tale... but I think a greater effort could have been made.

My daughter loves read along CD book a lot and it is one of our favorite. We ordered other sotries as well.

This is one of Grimm's best, and the illustrations for this version of it are cute, but the "flip-up" aspect of the book, which contains key plot points and "a surprise under every flap" has not been transferred over the e-book, rendering the book somewhat confusing and less fun. Buy a different edition if looking for a Kindle book.
