For my curly and generally tangled haired girls - this brush is not too bad. We still need to struggle a little and I still lost some hair but so far - the best brush I have used. Less breakage from using it which is a definite plus.

My hair is very fine and tangles so easily after shower but this brush cuts right though the tangles without damaging my hair in any way. My daughter has very fine hair too that is long and tangles so easily in back into big knots - however the Tangle Teezer takes those knots right out so easily, glides right through her hair with no tears anymore. Love this brand new and have been using it for many years, now I got one for my little one! Perfect size for little hands and removes tangles without yanking hair! I’ve used many other brands, but always come back to this one! Works great on thick coarse hair

Detangles!
Great brush. It manages to de tangle with out ripping hair or hurting my daughter. I have a 10 year autistic girl who has very long hair. Due to her sensory issues she refuses to cut her hair. Or wear it in a ponytail. She does not do well brushing her hair on her own. We do our best but I don’t always have the time to sit with her to detangle her hair. Before hair brushing was filled with tears and anxiety due to all the knots she has. We did this about 4 times a week.Now with this brush it makes everything so much easier. It takes 3-5 mins tops. Only because I go very slow and gentle to not hurt her. Before this brush I was using bottles of feta going spray weekly and the ritual would take us 30-45 mins each time.This brush is everything!
