Mini PC with some decent processing power
I have always been an Intel fans. On both PCs and Mac. Beelink finally came out with an Intel version of their GT mini PC. Wanted to see this will be a good fit for my desktop setup- Very compact and light weight, smaller than the Mac mini.- A lot of ports, enough for most of the usages- Powerful intel i5 processor, not some Celeron, or entry level processor- upgradable memory, and storage space.- Easy to do self upgrade, can be done with in mins.- Low noise level for most of the functions, only gets loud when I am doing video editing.- Supports dual monitor 4k setup.- Dual Gigabit LAN ports.- Support both M.2 SSD, and SATA SSDThe GTI weights a little over 1lb, seems like its all aluminum casing, very high quality, well built. Can easily reduce internal temperature of the unit. There is a small finger printer reader on the top, makes login to windows much easier, just swap your finger, and you are logged in.This tiny unit actually packed a decent CUP in it, Intel i5-8259U!! 8th gen Intel i5 processor. This is pretty much as powerful as a mid range laptop!! I got the 8gb memory and 256gb SSD version. This is enough for a basic setup for my desktop. There is room to upgrade the memory up to 32gb, might plan to add some additional memories later on. For the storage, there is total 2 SSD.M2 slot, and one SATA SSD connector. I have added a 512gb SSD to the SATA SSD connector, to use as 2nd storage, and save all my files to. Very easy to install, just take off the bottom cover, and you can see the SATA SSD connectors right away. This PC might be mini, but its got a lot of ports. There are two Giga LAN ports on there. I have only seen this setup on the Beelink GT mini PCs. There are total of 6 USB ports, 4 in the back, and 2 in the front. One USB-C in the front. 1 HDMI and 1 display port in the back. Able to handle up to 2 monitors at the same time!! Built in Mic, and headphone jack. Too bad there is only one USB-C port, I wish there were more, since most of the devices are using USB-C now-a-days. I have tested the usb-c port to test my external monitor, it connected without any issue. It supports both data and power to my external monitor.Mainly I have been using this Mini PC for my basic day-to-day functions. Like surfing the web, word documents, excel spreadsheets, listening to music and etc. I also used it for some light video editing, using Davinci Resolve. Its not super fast, but it actually works. As long the videos are in 1080p, not 4k, and not too much footages, then it works ok. Once the video footages get too big, the performance will get slower. Not a big issue, since this is not really my main video editing PC. This really saved up a lot of spaces on my desktop!! I can just put this PC behind my monitor, and can’t even tell its there. The Fan is fairly quite, the only time the fan noise is a bit loud is when I started to render my videos. Which is normal, even on an i9 MacBook pro, the fan gets loud when rendering videos. Once the load is completed, you can’t really hear the fan again. I actually did a quick testing on how much power it draws, under normal usage, the power consumption is range from about 40w to 60w. That’s pretty much how much a laptop uses. Compare to a full desktop PC, this is less than half of the power consumption!!! Saving a lot of electricity!!! Personally I really like the whole mini PC setup. Just hope to see i7 or even i9 in the future in this similar size.

Computer always crashing and restarting. Very frustrating
I received my first GTI. It does all it is supposed to. Very fast and has a nice small form. However, the system constantly crashed (every few hours) and automatically restarted itself.I had it replaced by Beelink hoping that it was a glitch. Unfortunately, the replacement also kept on crashing and restarting itself. I contacted Beelink and they wrote: "Plug and unplug the memory bar, reinstall the memory bar, and run the memory diagnosis in the management tool under the control panel. After completion, check the log to see if there is any problem with the memory".I did not want to open up the computer and perform this diagnostic. This happened to 2 computers! They should get this problem sorted out!!!!!

A lot of power in a small foot print.
I agree with all the detailed positive reviews. I'll add something more, fan noise & auto power on bios update. I use this PC to run security camera software with 7 cameras that stream 24/7. This was an upgrade to a mini-PC with an Intel N4120 CPU. With this i5 CPU no more dropped frames. The GTI is velcroed on the back of a touch screen monitor, awesome combination.Fan:There are two variable speed fans that instantaneously vary with CPU speeds. With no activity the fans will turn off. With any video streaming the CPU can run as high as 3.62 GHz and when it does the fans will run at high speeds, noisy. I fixed the fan noise by changing the Maximum processor state from 100% to 99% in the advanced power settings in the Windows Power Options app. This clamped the CPU speed to 2.2 GHz but allowed the fans to run continuously at a low speed, very quiet. With a total of 8 cores I did not notice any performance degradation with my software.Auto Power On:Auto power on after a power failure is a nice feature to have. The default BIOS does not have this option. Beelink has a BIOS update (auto) that has this feature posted on their support site. You must be running Windows 10 to flash to this version.
