Understated design.
I have had this clock for several months and it has functioned well.Pros:Base and case are each milled from a solid piece of aluminum, not molded or stamped.Crystal is glass, not plastic.Button for the internal light is easy to find in the dark (on top).Face is understated but easily read at a glance.Alarm is loud but not jarring.Hand for the alarm is accurate (strangely, this is not true for many of the analog alarm clocks I have owned).Cons:Plastic back is a bit disappointing. It's merely an aesthetic thing. Color matches the aluminum case so it's not too distracting.

Does make a ticking sound
I really like this little clock. It is just as it appears. I read some reviews of some saying it makes no sound, others say it does. When I first got it and put it in my bathroom, I didn't think I heard anything. Then in the middle of the night I went into the bathroom and it was very obvious, the ticking sound. I could not use this by my bedside. But it's perfect for my bathroom.

Analog at its finest - cute but get out your ruler before you buy it
This thing is small, like a desk clock or a bedside table clock. It's not a mantel clock not even for forty bucks. Check out Howard Miller for that. I'm deducting a star because of the cheesy metal plated plastic back and the plastic crystal (it's not glass as another reviewer said.) That said, I'm still giving it 4 stars because it's darn cute, super tasteful, and the aluminum parts are milled, brushed, and top notch. The little light is like a maglite bulb. Not an led (which is actually kind of charming.) It flickers a bit as you hold the button down, but emits a warm smooth light. This thing is analog all the way. You're paying for that, the restrained, accurate, & timeless face design, and the Bulova name.

Ticks Loudly
The ticking loudness seems to vary with the clock. Just bought second one like this and it ticks so loudly, we're returning it. Also note night back-light is something you can't keep turned on -- you must push the button on the top of the clock and a light comes on as long as you hold that button down. In addition, the alarm on/off switch is pretty small on the back of the clock. The styling, simplicity, that it uses only 1 AA battery, plus the Bulova accuracy are all pluses.

Nice contemporary look
We've had this clock for a few months and it has kept perfect time. We like the contemporary look of the aluminum. As others have noted, some pictures show a second hand, but ours does not have one. That's not a problem for us.It does tick, but we have this clock in a bathroom so the ticking isn't a problem. We don't use the alarm or the lightso I can't comment on those features. I recommend it and would buy it again.

Over Priced Garbage
The Aluminum Casting is crude and unrefined and you may very like that look, i admit this is subjective. The back cover can only be described as cheap, thin plastic and I wouldn't be surprised if the internal gears are all plastic. If you have every pick up something with cheap plastic and you tap on it with your nail and you hear that hollow thin plastic sound. You can hear the ticking noise which is pretty annoying when trying to sleep. They spent probably 1-2 dollars at best per clock.

Adventures of Bulova
UPDATE: so this clock grew on me from 1 star to 5 stars. Originally i stated that was inaccurate because I set the alarm for 4AM and it didn’t ring till 4.10AM. Real reason was that i had to be Really-Really presize when i set up the alarm. I hate it very much because it takes me a while to make it ring when i need it.Also I’m still upset because it doesn’t have a second hand, or bulova pitchfork logo as it shows on the picture l.On the positive note:here go all the 5 stars:It requires only 1 AA battery. And clock itself is pretty accurate. Ticking is very subtle and doesn’t bother me when i put the clock 3ft away from my ears. Light button also serves as a snooze. In order to disable the alarm completely you have to push little knob down on the back of the clock.Another positive note: Amazon and Asurion customer services were great because i accidentally damaged the clock that bought about 3 weeks ago and Amazon sent me replacement. It took only 3 days to solve the problem.

Stylish and Functional
The brushed and sleek look of this alarm clock was perfect for my modern bedroom decor. The alarm is loud enough to wake me yet it doesn't startle me. It has a night light that is very functional. With the night light I can see what time it is and set the alarm in the dark. I'm very happy the look and simplicity of this clock. However, I've only had it for 4 months so I can't speak to it's durability. With the five star rating I am giving Bulova the benefit of the doubt when it comes to durability.

Buen precio
Es funcional, pequeño y para buró, usa pila AA y en comparación con otros puntos de venta, está mucho más económico. Las maquinarias de esta marca ya no se pueden reparar una vez que tienen fallas, por lo que esté precio sí corresponde al costo beneficio
