Q: Does this come factory sealed in box?

No. The ends are just taped. The shipper of this kit when I bought did not put it in a box. It was shipped "as is" and showed up with a 5 inch gash through the box top. All the parts were still intact in their separate bags. I have since put the kit together and it turned out very nice. However, I would buy it from a Lego store or order it directly from them.
