Q: Can you use this for under bed lighting or does it have to be plugged into a TV?

It'll work fine without the TV adapter. I replaced the lightstrip behind my TV with this (I didn't want or need the TV sync) and it functions just the same as the strip before - however the colours feel brighter and clearer given the difference in design.

Q: do I need to buy Phillips bridge to get strip light to work

Yes if you wanted the colors to match the screen.

Q: Is the 75" tv lightstrip long enough for 83" tv or can we extend this to add an extra meter? tv wall mounted so i want the light on the bottom of tv

You can’t extend it, but I’d see no reason why it wouldn’t fit.

Yep, you will need a sync box for each tv though.
