NWS Side Cutters AR138-69-200

Some very nice feeling cutters. Ive used knipex, klein and i think these are my favorite. The grips are extremely comfortable and the cut feels effortless.

Update on 09/24/2023: My first pair of these are still going strong as hell, can still cut a single piece of paper, cant still cut screws, nails, and steel cables just like day one. A few months ago I just gave my 2nd pair away to my father because I didn't even need to buy it, and he loves it too. These are really the best lasting and best working tool I have ever bought. These things are nice! After using and abusing the living hell out of them the still cut a sheet of paper neater then fresh scissors. They cut nails, screws, wires, sheet metal, and haven't dulled at all. I have used then as a base to hammer on things in hard to reach areas and as a hammer themselves when I dropped my hammer 30 feet done and don't want to grab it. I have dropped these 40 feet onto reinforced concrete and only the concrete took damage. I have cut 1/4th inch steel cables on the very tip of these dozens of times and the tips are as un-phased as a nuclear warhead is about room temp butter. 3 of my coworkers have already bought their own after using mine. I would say buy two of them but I haven't been able to ruin the first pair so I don't know why you would need a second, unless you want a pair for your truck.

As an A&P on commercial aircraft, there are some really beefy stainless cotter pins that are used on landing gear. While you can struggle with the long handle cutters from the tool truck, these unassuming cutters use mechanical advantage to multiply the force applied making it a one handed job to cut that thick pin.

This product does its job and cuts through a lot of wire, that being said there are other products that do its job just as well and haven’t broken on me. I may have gotten a dud set but my Knipex has still yet to fail me. Only reason for a 4/5 is no warranty

I currently have channellock, Irwin, craftsman (old school ones), wiha, and now these NWS side cuts. I did a cabinet screw cutting test. These are not just a little better, they are so much better than the rest. Cutting the screw was easy with these. The craftsman’s couldn’t cut the screw. With these it was like cutting copper wire with the others. Time will tell how they hold up, but they are really freaking impressive for now.

If you want diagonal cutters that cut through anything and never wear out then these are what you want. I highly recommend these for electricians. Work wonders for busting out knockouts in electrical panels/boxes.
