They obviously stop better because they are brand new
I bought my 2008 Vstrom a few months ago. I wanted to change the brakes for an upcoming trip. After removing the old pair, I noticed that the brake pads had over half of their life left on them. They were from another high quality brand and were the other companies version of these HH pads. I did not remove and check the old pads for wear before I purchased these. For me these pads stop just the same as the one the ones that were installed before. They obviously stop better because they are brand new. All you have to do is barely pull back on the brake lever and its stops you very quick. If you are going to change out the the front brake pads on the Vstrom remember that you also need to purchase the EBC FA231HH as one pair is for the right caliper and one is for the left. The rear brake on this motorcycle has a tendency of not being that great. I did not replace the rear brake pads with the EBC equivalent because the pads are still in shape and because 90% of the braking on a bike is supposed to come from the front brakes.

Excellent braking feel and dependability
EBC has been in the racing game forever and I literally trust them with my life on the motorcycle. These brakes feel good, have great bite and stopping power. I would buy them again.

You can't go wrong with these.
EBC has long been considered the best, for good reason. These pads stop on a dime, seem to last forever, and are reasonably priced.

do NOT by these!!!
Got these for my Kawasaki Vulcan. They put the pad on the wrong side of the steel plate, and yes I ordered them for the rear of the bike not the front. The part number comes back as the rear breaks , but the pad part is on the wrong side of the plate. Therefore if you put it on on the break caliper the pads face out and away from each other not towards each other. Spent 40 some dollars on these things. Don't make the same mistake. I am sure it will take an act of Congress to get these returned, so I am not going to bother. Order your pads from a reputable motorcycle store. Do NOT order this brand for sure.

Never use another. spoke to soon
Huge improvement in stopping power over OEM pads.I really love the increased stopping power they provide for my big heavy Suzuki boulevard BUT the dam things squeal like a stuck pig. I replaced my perfectly good (less than 1/2 worn) quiet pads. I've been patient, squeal started immediately, rotors are fine and It's been 2,000 miles and they still squeal. I've been told "it's what they do", I say bulls***. I wish my horn was that loud and irritating.
