Totally Bamboo Twist Reusable Bamboo Chopsticks, Set of 5 Pair, 9.75" Long, Brown

I have always preferred bamboo chopsticks for being what I grew up with and their versatility. It wasn't until later years that I also learned of the great anti-bacterial and renewal properties of the bamboo. This made me doubly sad when my old bamboo chopsticks that I had owned and used for most of my life were destroyed. Thus began the hunt for a new set and hunt I did. I finally settled on these and I have not been disappointed. My old chopsticks were just long and plain (still wonderful). These are just as functional, but are also very attractive. Not too short, and not too thin (although the ends are thinner than my old set which were even from top to bottom). The ends are still thick enough to provide some grip and traction unlike others (especially those plastic chopsticks with the pointed tips). Some may prefer pointed tips, buy I do not. The color is very nice. They are not slippery varnished. They have a nice heft and feel in the hand. I am very pleased.

I personally like these chopsticks a lot. The design is very simple and sophisticated.These particular chopsticks are average width...more slender than cheap restaurant disposable chopsticks, but thicker than many other bamboo, wooden, and metal types that I have used before.It is completely smooth and laminated. There are no ridges at the tips like there are on some wooden/metal chopsticks that help with gripping food.These are definitely on the light side, so if you're used to heavier chopsticks like metal ones, or some wooden ones, these might be hard to control at first.I would say these chopsticks are ideally for more experienced chopstick users (ie: people who have been using them almost everyday for years). They are NOT as slippery and difficult to use as metal ones though.Also, stainless steel chopsticks are really the only kind you can put through the dishwasher. So if that's a quality you're looking for, you'll have to look elsewhere.

I usually prefer lacquered chopsticks, but I needed an add-on item and decided to try these. I am impressed! I like them more than I thought I would. With the nice twisty design in the ends, they are simple yet appealing, and they are a great every day chopstick. I ruined my lacquered chopsticks by putting them in the dishwasher, so I don't mind that these are hand-wash only (I have learned my lesson). My lacquered chopsticks were more tapered at the end, so I thought the thicker ends of these bamboo chopsticks would bother me, but I haven't noticed the difference. I'd recommend this product to anyone with kids or anyone who just needs an every day set of chopsticks that you can throw in your lunch bag or whatever and not really worry about. They are not ornate or fancy, but they are functional and durable, and I'm sure they'll last for years.

I will preface this review by stating up front that I am not a "connoisseur" of chopsticks.That said, I think these things are fantastic. They look nice, are easy to grip (they are rather large - not dainty at all), are a breeze to clean, and are highly functional. I paid less than $8 for five pair, so my whole family can enjoy (or be frustrated by) using them casually as they please. My children, 6 and 3, like to try them out when they see my wife or I using them, so we have slight bite marks, scratches, etc., on them already (after about a month of owning them) and it does not bother us one bit because they are both durable and inexpensive.If you are a casual user of chopsticks and aren't sure what to get (or don't want to invest a lot in experimenting), I highly recommend these.

These are wonderful for daily use. My wife was born in China and and I have been using chopsticks for ramen since I was a teenager, so we use them about half the week for home-cooked Chinese dinner. We wanted some easy-to-use (wide Chinese tips, not those slippery pointy things) inexpensive traditional (bamboo) chopsticks so we could buy a bunch of them. We also consider acrylics like the restaurants used, but prefer bamboo. After some digging, I tried one box of these. I dig the twist in them, which adds a little character to the more traditional bamboo looks. These are good quality, and we bought more --- 5 sets, so 25 pairs. Enough for a couple days of use so you always have a clean set when you need it. We just use a basket in the dishwasher to wash them which is perfect. They wear out eventually --- our last bamboo set lasted quite a while though (maybe a year?) These are lasting pretty well already. Definitely a good item for daily use.We also got a few sets of titanium chopsticks for "company".

We love these chopsticks. We wanted to have our own so that we wouldn't need to use disposable ones anymore. I think they're really pretty, especially because of the color and the twist. I'm not all that good at using chopsticks, but I can manage pretty well with these. They do have a coating on them as other reviews have mentioned; I think this is a good thing because it will help them last, rather than making them another (eventually) disposable set of chopsticks. Because of the coating they don't have any texture to grip things like noodles or sushi, but if you have a good technique you probably won't have any problem picking things up! I'm still learning, but getting there!

The surface initially feels rough, but once you give them a good first wash, recommending a scrubber the first wash, it is nice and smooth.The length is also nice, not too short or long, and are consistent in length making for good presentability.

Son un buen producto. Su precio es adecuado en mi opinión en relación a su calidad. Son resistentes, con el tiempo y uso han perdido un poco su color o ha cambiado a mas intenso, pero son mas bien características mismas del material que les da un aspecto de antigüedad jajajaja. Si los recomiendo ampliamente. El uso principal que les damos es para comer botanas y no estar llenandose los dedos de salsas o picantes, claro ocasionalmente los usamos para comer los makis.
